Witham Town have re-signed striker Jamie Guy following his release from Ryman League Premier Division rivals Grays Athletic.

The 27-year-old began his career with Colchester United, where he made fifty-two appearances and scored three goals in a six-year stint up until 2010.

He had loan spells out during this time with Tiptree United, Gravesend & Northfleet, Cambridge United, Oxford United, Dagenham & Redbridge and Port Vale.

In 2010, he signed for Grays Athletic before quickly moving to Braintree Town.

Guy has also had stints with Thurrock, Maldon & Tiptree, Needham Market, Bishop's Stortford and Witham Town earlier this year.

Assistant-manager Brad King said: "It happened very quickly. We played Grays at the weekend and their manager Jody Brown and myself had good relationship from the transfer of James Stevens and once we heard Jamie Guy was available, we spoke to him.

"He was keen to come to the club, as he works in Witham so ideal for him with a new family. I'm a big fan of his, he is fit and ready to start scoring goals for us. With him and Luke Callander and the other forwards we have at the club we know we have goals in our side. His experience will also be key for us this season."
