Horley Town 2 Colliers Wood United 1

With so many players away, injured and suspened it was a much changed side that took to the field for Town. Ex Horley Town manager Trevor Smith was in the away dug out as coah for Colliers Wood.Horley soon ran in two quick goals both from Ashley Nadasan. Town then lost our central defender and this meant more of a reshuffle. Colliers Wood then scored and it stayed the same till half time. Second half saw Colliers Wood through everything but the kitchin sink at Town but they could not find away to get a second. Town held on to take all three points.

Horley Town 2-1 Wood - Report here - http://wibbandune.simplesite.com/417806039

Agree with you Chris about the referee (Meet him before the game doing the teams and he seamed good) the best we have had this season thought he refereed the game as it should be.

Reckon officials have been better so far this season. Helps if you have two like minded clubs who are there for football first?

Very open league this season btw. Wouldn't put a shilling on anyone just yet! I think a springer will come out of the chasing pack!

Good report (as normal). Was with the referee a couple of weks ago at Sevenoaks and he had a good game then as well.

Enjoyable game to officiate as both teams wanted to play football.

Good to note that the officials dressing room was spotless when we arrived!

Staines Lammas 2 Ash Utd 3

Finally see Ash win away

1st ever visit to Staines, nice little set up but alot of work to be done but wish them all best in achieving their goals

the 1st half was evenly fought with Ash having the better of the chances but the Staines keeper made a couple good saves.

2nd half saw Staines had alot of pressure pinning Ash back & that pressure finally told early on into the half when they opened the scoring. However it was long before Ash levelled up the game. Staines regain the lead when poor marking from a corner saw the ball being headed home. Staines looked like at this point they would get a grip off the game & go on to win, but from some quick thinking & a well delivered freekick Ash drew level. Then it wasnt long after that Ash took the lead from a corner, we then sat deep allowing Staines alot of the ball but they couldnt find that equalising goal & Ash held out for the points

Windsor 0 - 1 Westfield.

A totally different game as far as both teams were concerned to the 4 nil drubbing Westfield received at home last time the two teams met. Westfield once again showed the enthusiasm they played with midweek and were quick off the mark. 2 mins and they were a goal up !!  A neat bit of work on the right wing saw a cross into the Windsor penalty area that was tapped home from close range.

The whole game was very watchable from a spectators point of view and had it not been for an outstanding performance from the Windsor keeper, who repeatedly denied Westfield with a string of superb saves, the score could have been much higher.

I said on Tuesday evening how Westfield looked a different side and had more enthusiasm and put in a much better shift, and I can easily say the same of them today. In my honest opinion Westfield are looking much better now and just need a bit more belief in themselves, particularly up front. Twice today a player was through on goal on a one on one situation and should have had his sights set firmly on beating th keeper, unfortunately on both occassions the player looked almost like a rabbit caught in the headlights and tried to look for the lay off option. Needless to say both chances then came to nothing. They need to instil some self belief in the boys now and I am sure a more confident forward would be scoring goals for fun there at the moment. Another very well deserved 3 points to the field though.

May I say how much I enjoyed my visit to Windsor today, the facilities were great and the tea bar excellent. Best burger of the season by far !!!!!!!! Thank you Windsor.

Cheers Jellybean.

You say it was very watchable.... not really from Windsor's point of view it wasn't.

I remain a positive and optimistic supporter but for the last month or more a string of performances that have been (the occasional very decent 30 minute spell apart) very average, have only been converted into points / cup passage by the absolutely fantastic form of our keeper, Carl Dennison.

The triple save midway through the first half was extraordinary but, after an injury and suspension ravaged 2014/15, that is now what we have come to expect.

In fact next game I might take the unusual step of watching the game behind his goal as right now he's the best thing about watching us play!

Thanks footy mad. We try our best.

You seem to be part of the furniture at our place this season.
