Enfield Town v Thamesmead Town

After our win over Leighton Town on Saturday, Town have been rewarded with another home match against Thamesmead Town in the FA Trophy 2nd Qualifying Round, to be played at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Stadium on Saturday 14th November.

Thamesmead Town are currently 7th in the Ryman League Division One North. Last Friday evening they beat Ramsgate 1-0 at home to progress in this competition.

An attractive cup-tie in prospect and, with home advantage, a great opportunity for Town to secure another share of the FA prize fund.

Let's hear your thoughts on how you see this match, against our Ryman League Division One North opponents.

LATEST NEWS

Thamesmead manager Terry Spillane has brought in 3 new signings to strengthen his squad. They are:-

1. Winger Lesley Thompson who has re-joined them from Thurrock.

2. Central midfielder Jose Figura, who played for Hendon, before a spell in Iceland.

3. Veteran striker Paul Vines who has joined from VCD. The Mead will be his 10th club.

How many, if any, will figure against Town next Saturday, is anyone's guess!

This Saturday our focus switches back to cup action and the chance for Town secure a juicy £3250 from the FA Trophy Prize Fund.

There is no Premier League action this weekend, so it is a great opportunity for all Arsenal and Spurs fans, living in the Enfield area, to visit the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium, in Donkey Lane, Enfield, to cheer on their local club in a major national cup competition on the road to Wembley.

Don't miss this match....it promises to be a real cracker!!

The clock is running down and we are now under 72 hours away from our important FA Trophy match on Saturday.

I share Old Towner's view that this is going to be a tough match for Town, and we need to be up for it from start to finish, if we are to progress.

How do you see the match?

Are you confident we can make home advantage tell and get the result we all want?
