Tonbridge Angels v Enfield Town - match fred

Tally Ho

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to reading reports. Tonbridge away was always going to be a hard

nut to crack. However, from first reports it seems that we lost it again through

the middle of the defence. It is a pity, but this area of the pitch has improved

for us over the past few weeks.

Having read the team sheet I was a little concerned with what seemed to be the

make up of our central defence. S Magou was shown at 5 and R Doyle at 2.

Obviously Lockie has little cred with Bradley.

I still feel that out of the three, LOckie is the better full back and Doyle the

better central defender.

In to nights fixture perhaps the result would have been the same which ever two

had started, but I do hope that Joseph is OK for the next game as, with the

exception of his slip up Saturday, he has been playing well.

With 9 games to go the play offs look tougher, but another 18 points may see us

just make it. Every game now is a biggy. It should make a good end to the season.

We won't make an interesting end to the season giving goals away !!

First half we outplayed Tonbridge for long periods and made many attacks.

Then.....just when you start to think positive, we give away another poor goal with no real defence of a corner.

How many times have we seen that this season.

Tonbridge keeper makes a mess of a punch / save and Corey "rolls one in.. 1 - 1. H/t.

Second half we drop back and let Tonbridge dominate play for long periods, but then Harry beats defenders, rolls the ball across the goal, but not a single Towner reacts. Should be 2 - 1 up.

They smash it up field, beat our non existent defence and its 2 - 1.Tonbridge.

10 minutes later it's 3 - 1 with another un-defended through ball and the forward slotting home with ease.

It's getting boring noting the same mistakes week in, week out.

Poor defending again and a lack of goal power despite Harry working his socks off again.

Dissappointing and Frustrating.

Same old, same old.
