Decent game for Redhill at Frimley. Chances at a premium , redhill taking there's when they had them . Frimley will be top half at least with redhill possibly able to achieve more on today's showing . Saw my original local choice of club had an unfortunate loss but given the level of domination reported I'm sure they will be ok. It will all begin to take shape over the next few weeks but I believe the redhill roller coaster will have many more ups than downs in the ccl1.

Frimley Green 0 v Redhill 2. 75. Kery Kedze. 82. Luke Jones.

Bit of a nervous first half think the pressure of getting points on the board played its part. Lobsters coming close with shot of the post. Second half play saw the Reds being more positive and creating some good situations which led to the first goal on 75 mins which made the team look a lot happier and more fluid and resulted in a second goal on 82 mins.

Down side was with minutes to go Losbsters had a man sent off, Ref blew for time wasting as the player was taking his time with a throw and reversed it to Frimley but reds then dropped the ball he just gave it a tap against the boundary fence but the ball went under and onto the path which made it look far worse but it was gamesmanship/timewasting, Redcard Cant blame the ref it was the right call.

Sadly no cheeseburgers to report on but I did enjoy two rather tasty sausage rolls and a diet Pepsi in the bar.

Burger - whilst a caution for time-wasting is justifiable, the restart remains the same so, as you describe it, in instance it's still a throw-in to the team it was awarded to in the first place.

Windsor 2-1 Epsom & Ewell (Att 202)

6 changes to the starting line up from last week's disappointing reverse at Bedfont Sports and, not that the youngsters who started last week were at fault, the additional experience introduced to the back 4 made a significant difference.

In all honesty, tense and enjoyable though it was, it wasn't a game with much slick pass and move on display, but was certainly a great game for Windsor to win against tough opponents who were on a bit of a roll.

E&E took the lead midway through the 1st half when a back pass was badly under hit and left Sobte in no man's land - pretty simple for the striker to round him and roll into an empty net. Windsor hit back soon after with a splendid solo goal from Kieran Knight - spun his marker adeptly to create space, took a couple of strides forward and slammed it right in the bottom corner. A super finish and although I've seen mention of him in a former club's match reports as "veteran" he certainly knows where the goal is!

Late winner came from sub debutant Keanu Williams, a product of the new Cox Green Academy connection, which ended with 3 players on the pitch.

The blend of youth and experience looked promising and resilient today and I detected a mood of optimism amongst fans that hasn't been felt for a while.

Let's see what Tuesday and Guildford brings!

Apart from the catering staff nobody said hello, but there again it could have been my Brutt33 deodorant I found at the back of my shed, shame to waste it.

A good day out at Farleigh Rovers v Dorking, made very welcome by both sides.Hospitality was excellent all afternoon.

The game itself was played in a good competitive spirit, well officiated by the Men in Black ,especially the Referee whom I believe was having his first appointment at CCL Level.his name Shawn Barclay, one with a bright future for sure.

Star Player of the Day----Casey Bow the Farleigh keeper, who pulled off 2 great saves that Banksy would of been proud of,that kept Farleigh in the game,Dorking had the better chances throughout the game, but Farleighs never say die attitude was rewarded in the end with a well worked goal.

Is this not what rule 15 states, "If the throw-in is not taken correctly it is retaken by the opposing team."

Read more at http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/laws/football-11-11/law-15---the-throw-in.aspx#Ed3MFhSmXagTsPy2.99

The throw in was not taken correctly (not taken at all) so the Ref then awarded the throw in to Frimley for time wasting, then the Reds player was sent off for knocking the ball away hence delaying the Frimley throw in.

Glad to see you're managing to get out and about again, Peter.

Who knows  -  I may pop down to Westhumble next Tuesday evening.

Burger - the throw-in has to be taken in the first place for it to be retaken by the opposing team.

First caution for delaying restart fine, restart is as originally awarded - second caution for delaying that restart, restart is as originally awarded.

Awarding the throw-in to the other team would generally come from a foot or hand 'foul' when delivering the throw-in or, despite being told where to take it from, the throw-in being taken from the wrong place. You often see the former but less so the latter as the referee can boss the position of the restart (throw-in) by using any or a combination of voice, arm signal or whistle.

What's confusing me is that if the throw has to be taken and is deemed to be delaying the start why did the player knock the ball away if he was going to retain the throw in?

The report from our trip to Windsor is here.

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/Fix2016.17-7.html

A disappointing outcome, but we didn't do enough to warrant the three points, and I would assert that neither team actually did.

Rother's statement about a badly hit back pass is correct and many of our passes were also under hit today. Don't know why that was.

Overall, we need to improved defensively as we can't score lots every week. Admittedly though, the Windsor equaliser was a great turn and strike.

Good report as usual Rich and always good to see you and your other club colleagues again at Stag Meadow.  I agree on another day that challenge may have seen a red card issued but on another day your player may not have still been on the pitch then having already received a stern warning and later attempting to head-butt the same player again in that tussle on the ground ten minutes before the tackle !  My honest opinion is that the referee saw two players both trying to assert themselves over their opponents and allowed them to sort it out in an old-fashioned sort of way ie you clatter me, I'll clatter you and no quarter given - technically incorrect according to the laws of the game but common sense does sometimes prevail !  Must say though that your player is either very brave or very stupid as I wouldn't want to be picking a fight with someone about 18" taller than me and built like a brick outhouse ! LOL.
