Today's game

I don't think anyone wants to see a Club go under. I hope your team stays in the Conf.

I didn't think your Fans behaviour was bad at all, but as for Kinnear and some of the players??

Its good to be fired up for a game and I love passion on the terraces and pitch but they were OTT. Still it made for a pulsating encounter and may these games continue. I suppose we see it as a Derby game, hence our delight.

Fans were alright. In the Plough beforehand they had fun singing a couple of songs. About 7-10 of them against 4(well 4 i saw singing) of us back. Then the nice fan who wished us a happy new year and shook our hands!

Well good game, they were better then at Dover, but still i think we deserved all three, we were able to hang on. Also the amount of times they where offside. I didnt even know we had an offside trap till yesterday. Ben abbey great play for the first goal. Still 6 points against the git has moved us out for the time being and with a game in hand over most teams below.

You were best all round fleet on both occasions except in the 2nd half yesterday where we outplayed you and had you under pressure and hanging on. This is not sour grapes and I'm not a great fan of theirs and feel that they will not win the league but CHESTER will wipe the floor with you and they will soon have you back down to earth. If we manage to get through this season.(very doubtful) am sure we will get more points than you. You all looked tired and weary in the second half and to me it seems like your good run has ended. The bubble has burst.Just be preared for a stuffing on saturday.

I don't think we need coming down to earth - most of us are expecting Chester to knock in three or four given their current form, but we're not ruling out something more positive as we've nicked a 1-0 win there already. Yeah, we're happy to have beaten Margate twice - particularly after last season - but none of us think we're out of the woods yet (after all, it was ONLY Margate we beat), but seven points out of nine over Xmas puts us in a much better position than none.

As for our bubble bursting, are you basing that on a 35-minute spell in the second half where our lads looked nackered. Don't forget, we pplayed a full 90 minutes the Saturday before, your boys didn't, they just turned up. tongue.gif

Realistically, on current form, Chester should hammer us. However, we have recently discovered the X and Y factors. X being the belief in passing the ball, and Y being the confidence that with this style of play we can actually compete with the best.

The only thing that may fail us tommorrow is tiredness. One or two of the lads looked knackered after Margit. Perhaps we may see some changes and fresh legs, such as Perkins, Lee, Shearer, Evans.

Thank God (and Andy) for a big squad.

From the 'git board

Right, You've Gone Too Far

Why can't you Gravesend fans be NORMAL like the majority of other fans in the country. Take Shrewsbury fans for example, they were quick to agree with us when Che Stadhart got sent off in a 50-50 challenge on their keeper. Those fans didn't gloat at us when they won, they simply wished us luck for the rest of this season. Other conference supporters that I have come across are all a good bunch, even some Dover fans, but you can't talk to a Gravesend fan without getting some kind of abuse. I remember at the FA Cup game last season when we were in a bar near the ground before the match when we were just having fun like you do at away games. Usually, the opposing fans join in with the fun and gfames, but your lot were just too arrogant and thought you were too good for us. Sums you [***!!***] up really.

And for anyone who says that Sam Sodje is a bad person, the guy is a true gent with a kind heart and great sense of humour. The guy stood with us for 30 minutes in the driving rain in a friendly at Welling in preseason, and this was before he had even signed another contract with us. He was talking to the fans and cracking jokes with us, including how easy your players were to mark during the game. He then even overhear me telling somebody I was a bit short of money so I couldn't buy a drink, so when I saw him at the end of the game he bought me a sprite! Not to mention when I saw him at the FA Cup game last season, he bought me a drink there as well!

Bottom line-most fans in the league would hope you lot go down, us included. And you WILL go down, mark my words. You're blatent cheating and luck with the referees will be your eventual downfall.

There was me thinking we were a nice, friendly bunch

I dont think anyone has suggested Sodje is a "bad person" off the field - anything that has been said about him relates to his actions ON the field.

They seem to believe the whole world is against them at the moment and unless you fall in line and agree wholeheartedly with their views, you're a total wally in their eyes.

I would like to see the video of the various incidents which led to bookings in the game at our place - I feel sure it would vindicate the referee in most cases.

Sodge sent off in the first match, could and should have gone in the second. Can't believe he's being defended by Margate fans, his ill disclipine has cost him a three game ban, which could have well have been doubled. What good's that doing for the Margates cause. Also what a load of nonsense on the Margate board. Just sour grapes - the card count doesn't lie.

All the other teams supporters hate us?

That guy should go look at the BBC forums. There's a thread there asking everybody who they think are the best away supporters and several have said us, so there you go.

We WILL go down? Maybe, but at the moment, were 3 points less likely to than them. OUR cheating ways??? Who had the 6 yellows Thursday? And as for our luck with the referees, that's barely even worth commenting on, anyone who's been to one of our games knows that's a bunch of horse crap.

And blatant has no letter 'e' in it.
