Lived downtown Manhattan for a while, never come across an area called Gravesend tho'..

Anyway , some footie stuff ( mostly non league ) at pub called the British Open up around 52nd and 2nd .. Didn't have any Fleet stuff in there then, but wouldn't be suprised now...

To carry on the Manhattan and Fleet theme , did used to drink in a lower Eastside bar co-owned by our illustrious ol' chairman Mr Easterby's son Neale. ( No Fleet momentos in there either )

Unfortunately that is now long gone...

No it doesn't apply, and now to prove big brother is REALY watching.

If you buy a Keg of Beer, you have to sign a form on which it states:

If any of the contents of this Keg is consumed by a minor, who commits any misdemeanour or crime, the purchaser of said Keg will be held responsible. The said purchaser will be fined or imprisoned, in line with the offence commited. Enough to drive you to drink!

I got asked for ID last year in Florida (I'm 30, and don't look young lol)

I also got asked for ID when trying to buy ciggies in Houston when I was 27, I wouldn't have minded but I was buying gas at the time lol

Still I'd rather it be like that here. My Mum works in a newsagents and is always getting grief from people she asks for ID. If it was something they did to EVERYBODY, then there wouldn't be that problem.

We'd still get the little turds standing round the corner asking us to buy them beer though lol.

[color:"red"] Don't get me going on this ID crap.

[color:"blue"]

I appreciate that we will all have to carry photo ID here in the UK in the near future, but what worries me is, HOW MUCH INFO WILL BE PLANTED ON THAT MAGNETIC STRIP ??

On another note, I went into my bank the other day. (Something I rarely have to do), to draw money.

I was asked for ID.

I said, "But you've known me for the past ten years !!"

'I know,' said the cashier, but company rules says I've got to ask for it !'

[color:"red"] I fecking give up !!!

I don't know how much info is put on the magnetic strip, but any info on there is probably already recorded somewhere.

I was watching a prog here that companies wanted to put micro-chips in packaging so they can trace where their products end up..... for marketing reasons only...........yeah right!

If everyone had to carry ID, how many thousands of police-manhours and thousands of pounds would be saved by criminals not being able to give a false name and address
