The FA CUP comes to Enfield this Saturday and, with no Premier League games being played, it's a great opportunity for everyone to show local pride, and bring family and friends to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, to cheer on local side Enfield Town against Harrow Borough.
The winners of this match will receive £3000 from the Emirates FA CUP prize fund, and a place in the next round with a further £4500 at stake.
Both teams will be very keen to win this match. Harrow have made a good start to the new season, taking maximum points from their opening four league fixtures. That was before Bank Holiday Monday, when they travelled to Hendon and got a very rude awakening, on the wrong end of a 6-0 thrashing. Not the kind of result wished for five days before a major cup encounter.!
Form and early season league results count for very little in one-off cup competitions, where teams raise their game, a home draw can be a definite advantage, and why unexpected shock results occur very season.
This unmissable match will be a very close, exciting contest. Town Manager Andy Leese and our players will be well prepared for this important match, and will be very keen to progress in this prestigious money-spinning national competition. Let's get right behind them with plenty of noisy Enfield support and encouragement.!
Good luck everyone. See you there.!

Tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon Town extend a warm welcome to our opponents Met Police for our third Bostik League Premier Division fixture of the season at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. KO 3.00pm.
Last Tuesday evening, while we were losing 3-0 at Hendon in a challenging North London derby, the Blues went down by a similar margin, losing 4-1 away to newly promoted side Dorking Wanderers. The Met won their opening home match, beating Worthing 3-1 at Imber Court.
Both teams will be looking to bounce back this weekend, after their disappointing mid-week defeats, and another very close, tight contest is in prospect.
Next April is a long way off, there are 44 more league fixtures left, so plenty of points to play for, and Andy, Darren, and our new squad of players, deserve plenty of noisy support and encouragement tomorrow, as they battle to secure our first win of the season.
GOOD LUCK, LADS!

READY TO GO!
It's back, and there is plenty to look forward to on Saturday afternoon, when Town host Folkestone Invicta at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, in our opening Bostik League Premier Division fixture.
After all the comings and goings during the summer, optimism is high that Town can make a good start to the new season, with our new management duo Andy Leese and Darren Purse in charge, and an impressive squad of quality close season signings.
Be interesting to hear peoples thoughts on how Town are probably going to line-up against Invicta on Saturday afternoon.
Folkestone seem likely to be without striker Joe Taylor and influential mid-fielder Micheal Everitt for this match. Taylor has damaged his knee, whilst Everitt picked up a groin strain last weekend.
Last season, back in April, Town beat Invicta 3-1 at the QE Stadium. Will we chalk up another win? What do you think? How do you see the outcome?
One thing for sure, this is going to be another close, very exciting match. Let's be there to show our support for Andy and our guys, as they look to deliver our first win of the new season.

Tonight Town welcome our friends from Bedfordshire.
With our opening match of the new season just one short week away, Town host Barton Rovers of the Southern League this evening, at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, in our final pre-season friendly.
It provides a great opportunity for us Towners' to see how manager Andy Leese's new look team are shaping up, before the real business starts next Saturday, when we entertain Folkestone in our opening Bostik League Premier Division fixture.
If you are at a loose end this evening, fancy a couple of pints, some company and a bit of excitement, why not join other Towners' for some Friday night action under the lights. The weather forecast is good, so look forward to seeing you there.
Enjoy the match. COYT

Town are in action again this Tuesday evening, when they travel to Scraley Road Stadium to face Bostik League North Division side Heybridge Swifts.
Last Saturday, while Town were winning 0-3 in the West Midlands against Highgate United, Swifts came from behind to win 1-3 at Herne Bay.
To date Heybridge have played eight pre-season friendlies, and are so far unbeaten. Last Tuesday evening they entertained a strong Billericay Town side, including a large number of their first team squad, and held them to a 3-3 draw.
Town have produced some impressive performances in their own friendlies, and will be looking to deliver another strong performance against Swifts in our penultimate pre-season fixture. Should be a good match!
