Pears left the club following their defeat at Cirencester Town, Barum's 12th loss in 19 league games leaving them second bottom in the Evo-Stik South West. The former Exmouth Town manager was disappointed to leave Mill Road. "I'm disappointed that it hasn't worked out," Pears said. "But I gave it 100 per cent, and gave it everything I had. "I felt I got a really good squad together and made some really good signings, but I just couldn't get it to click. "I couldn't find the right formula or solution to get the team consistently putting in performances which I believe were at that level, and one that were getting results."
