'I couldn’t find the right formula or solution,' - Pears open about his Barnstaple Town exit

Richard Pears says he has no regrets about his Barnstaple Town tenure, which ended last week.

Pears left the club following their defeat at Cirencester Town, Barum's 12th loss in 19 league games leaving them second bottom in the Evo-Stik South West.

The former Exmouth Town manager was disappointed to leave Mill Road.

"I'm disappointed that it hasn't worked out," Pears said. "But I gave it 100 per cent, and gave it everything I had.

"I felt I got a really good squad together and made some really good signings, but I just couldn't get it to click.

"I couldn't find the right formula or solution to get the team consistently putting in performances which I believe were at that level, and one that were getting results."
