The demise of Romford

Seriously have to question their long term future. I think that Paul Martin has done an amazing job there keeping them in Div 1 North for so long.

Not sure why Romford needs an ice skating ring ahead of a football club to be honest, suppose it will generate more income for the council.

Sometimes football clubs just fade away and I think that could happen to Romford. Anyway as a Hornchurch fan it's not my problem.

Bought in a load of new players recently and they've not had time to bond yet. In a team that's clearly lacking confidence and with Cheshunt clearly in a false position, it's looking bad for Romford. Cheshunt are 5 points clear now and the other teams down there are 7 points ahead all with games in hand.

Romford also have the worst goal difference in the league, Hornchurch have a +93 goal difference advantage over them!

Perhaps dropping into the Essex Senior League wont be such a bad thing. They wont get beat 9-1 every Saturday in that league and their travelling costs will be reduced as they will only play in Essex and East London.

Given time they could resurface as a force but it all depends if the people running the club stay with it.
