It's ludicrous isn't it having the likes of Wycombe Wanderers compete in the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup as they may as well just hand either them, Reading or Milton Keynes Dons the trophy without a ball being kicked in anger, they even get a bye into the first round just to rub salt into Newport Pagnell Town and Aylesbury Vale Dynamos wounds:

Well, this is awkward to point out old boy....buuuuut Wycombe last won it in 2011 and only on pens and Slough beat Reading last year, Chesham beat MK Dons year before that and more often than not none of those pro sides reach the final.....so....that’s just a bit of a silly thing to say, you’ve been a great contestant, thanks for playing, but nobody goes home empty handed here, so here’s a virtual hug from me. Goodnight everyone, see you same time, same place next week.

Preliminary Round

Holmer Green v Newport Pagnell Town (Tue 8 Oct)

An excellent 5-1 win for Newport Pagnell Town at Holmer Green this evening, Newport Pagnell Town led 2-0 at the break and added two more goals before the hosts pulled one back, Jake Watkinson made it 5-1 near the end. The only blot on Newport Pagnell Town's copybook was the disappointing dismissal of Leon Lobjoit when they already led 4-0:

Well I guess that AVD are a ‘new’ club. Perhaps that’s why, but there have been plenty of meetings. What a shame this game isn’t in Aylesbury.

The draw for the Second Round of the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup has been made, I am assuming that Slough Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Reading FC and Wycombe Wanderers get further buys to the Quarter Final stage and join the four Second Round winners, hopefully including Newport Pagnell Town who entertain Beaconsfield:

Newport Pagnell Town entertain Beaconsfield Town tomorrow in the Second Round of the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup, should they come through against the Holloways Park Club they could well meet one of the four 'big boys', Slough Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Reading FC or Wycombe Wanderers, who all enter the competition at the Quarter Final stage. Didcot Town won 2-1 at Aylesbury United last week with Hungerford Town v Bracknell Town and Maidenhead United v Marlow also taking place tomorrow evening:

Many congratulation to Newport Pagnell Town this evening for reaching the Quarter Finals of the competition, bring on Milton Keynes Dons, Reading FC or Wycombe Wanderers:

Karen - That's disappointing isn't it, I assumed Slough Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Reading FC and Wycombe Wanderers would automatically be drawn to meet the winners of the four Second Round ties. I suppose at least Newport Pagnell Town stand more chance of beating Didcot Town especially at Willen Road.

Newport Pagnell Town's Quarter Final tie with Didcot Town has yet to be arranged however I'm sure Karen will reliably inform us all when it is. Should they overcome the BetVictor Southern League Division One Central Club at Willen Road then at least they will be assured of a Semi Final against a Football League Club, Wycombe Wanderers, Milton Keynes Dons or Reading:

Quarter Final draw:

Hungerford Town v Wycombe Wanderers (tba)

Newport Pagnell Town v Didcot Town (tba)

Slough Town v Milton Keynes Dons (Tue 18 Feb)

Marlow v Reading FC (tba)

Newport Pagnell Town host Didcot Town at Willen Road on Tuesday 3 March for a berth in the Semi Final of the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup, Wycombe Wanderers unsurprisingly won 3-0 at Hungerford Town last night and will no doubt be joined by Milton Keynes Dons and Reading in the Semi Final:

Good luck to Newport Pagnell Town tomorrow evening in their Berks & Bucks Senior Cup Quarter Final, they know that a money spinning Semi Final with Milton Keynes Dons, Reading or Wycombe Wanderers awaits if they beat their BetVictor Southern League Division One Central opponents:
