Marlow apparently better side on the day but we missed plenty of chances. Did enough to go through though. Well in lads.

Good result that, they have made the final the last 3 seasons and Unbelievably lost them all.

Found them a very difficult team to break down and play against.

as for us, we were shocking especially in the first half. Only some excellent saves from our keeper kept us in it. Marginally better 2nd half without really creating much and late goal snatched it at the end.

Old Bradwell United are another Club quick off the mark with their match reports:

This sounded like an interesting affair and also with Aston Clinton 5th and Unite MK 14th in Division 2:

There's a thread on another Forum debating the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Trophy and ridiculing the 'over complicated' way it is organised, for example, the First Round having just ten teams (five ties) with fifteen teams getting a bye with further byes later in the competition right up to the Third Round stage, they do seem to have a point:

Yep. Pretty stupid. I have no idea why it would be like this. Are other county cups the same?

And as for ‘convincing’ pro clubs, my understanding is that it’s mandatory for them to put in a side. They can put out whatever side they like but they must put one out and if they entered at the beginning, I presume they all get byes to q/f it would help out other clubs with a bit of a boost in income for a game.

Really you must get you facts correct

The competition being discussed is the Berks & Bucks Senior CUP and not Trophy as you state.

I don’t think it is mandatory anymore, I’m sure Chesham pulled out for a couple of years.

Three ties tomorrow involving the SSML Club's left in the competition, at least two will definitely progress to the Quarter Finals, I'm not holding out too much hope for Buckingham Athletic

Fingers crossed our game wont succumb to the weather again. It was very wet this morning and needed some work in one area. then it hammered down for a couple of hours at 6. With heavy rain expected from 1pm tomorrow it may be touch and go. Will have a look in the morning.

Really need to get it played, as these cup games are starting to stack up, with potentially no league game until 14th December if we make it through.
