Winslow Boy - I thought you were a man's man and didn't have you down as a Wizard of Oz fan, you're right though as Lions v Tigers this evening does sound ridiculous. I wonder how many New Salamis will win by against Berkhamsted Raiders considering you lost 8-2 to them on Saturday.

Loved Wizard of Oz when I was a kid. I don’t think the two things are mutually exclusive by the way. Given the hiding they gave us you would expect them to win by a good margin yes.

I assume that New Salamis played an under strength team tonight with their FA Vase tie on Saturday against Codicote

Pete the Greek - So I take it you were at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium last night, that's a surprise, I hope the SSML Committee took note

Old Bradwell United appear to be a Club on the up, it's nice to see a match report from last night up on their website already. Good luck to them this season:

I was at home.

I'm sure the SSML Committee will be fine with that.

Courtney Austin also scored for them on Saturday.

He is a top player at Step 6 level.

He tends to play for at least two different teams per season ?

Hillingdon Borough FC really needed to hang on to him but IM GUESSING he was offered more money at New Salamis FC.

He played for North Greenford United FC and Southall FC last season.

I meant to add this from the London Football Guide website which highlighted the fixture last Wednesday, it was a convincing win for London Lions:

Spartan South Midlands League Division 1
London Lions v London Tigers @8pm - neither of these sides have made a great start, in fact they're both in the bottom four but how could I not mention a clash between Lions and Tigers? If you didn't already know, the hosts are a Jewish club and the visitors have their roots in west London's Asian community
