I see that the Stotfold v Stevington Final will take place at The Eyrie on Wednesday 11 March, kick off 7.30pm, good luck to Stotfold, it will be nice to bring a trophy back to the New Roker Park and maybe the Division One Cup too

So how do we see the eagerly awaited Final going this evening at The Eyrie, I don't think Stotfold will have it all their own way against the trophy holders who beat Wilstead 4-0 in last season's Final, also at The Eyrie:

It is looking comfortable for Stotfold, they currently lead Stevington 2-0 with both goals from Kim Forsythe on 12 and  36 minutes, beleaguered Stevington are also down to ten men.

Yes, Stotfold lift the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy for 2020, they beat Stevington 2-0 with the holders barely laying a glove on Luke Gregson's men, congratulations to the Club and they could well add the Division One Cup to the New Roker Park mantel piece by the end of the campaign, as well as the Hinchingbrooke Cup and gain promotion to the Premier Division.

It's strange as I haven't seen a match report of Stotfold's comfortable 2-0 win over Stevington in the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy Final last week however here's a photo of Club Captain Myles Lee about to lift the trophy sky high:

It's strange isn't it as there has been little or no coverage of Stotfold lifting the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy on 11 March at The Eyrie, I don't even recall seeing a match report of their 2-0 victory over Bedfordshire County League Premier Division leaders Stevington. Here's a great photo of the victors with the Trophy:

On their way to lifting the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy, Stotfold beat Bedford 3-1 at Roker Park in the Second Round after getting a First Round bye. They were then fortunate with the Quarter Final draw easing past AFC Oakley M&DH 4-1 at Roker Park before an excellent 4-0 Semi Final win over Biggleswade FC Reserves who had netted nineteen times in just three ties leading up to their visit to Roker Park:

It looks like Stotfold will be the only SSML Club to win silverware this season, they were somewhat fortunate that the Final of the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy was held so early on 11 March, had it been any later then they would have been deprived as the Bedfordshire FA have now cancelled all unresolved County Cup Finals:

The NLS leagues from Step 3 down to Step 7 would end immediately, with all results being expunged from the record, with no promotion and no relegation.

This decision also impacts the Women's game. The FA and the Leagues within Tiers 3 to 7 have reached a consensus to bring the season to an immediate end and all results will be expunged. This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between Tiers 3 to 7. Agreement has also been reached to end the Regional Talent Clubs season, which was due to conclude in April 2020.

All grassroots football, adult & youth - both boys and girls, will be finished immediately, the decision on how the season is resolved lies with the leagues, meaning it is at their discretion how positions, promotion/relegation are decided, or if like the NLS and Women's pyramid they wish to expunge the results, with no promotion or relegation.

The Board of Directors have taken the decision to cancel all unresolved County Cup finals. The outcome all League Cups will be decided by the respective league committees.
