6 of the best

Great performance with some stunning goals to boot. On paper this could have been a real tricky game but once we settled, the movement of our forwards and calmness at the back led by Ricky was too much for the walnuts. George was absolutely on fire, all it needed was a goal by him to cap off a fine display.  MacLeod up front was a great player in his day and expected more from him, infact I still think Ricky still has him in his pocket!  Well played lads...roll on Monday for the draw

Well we were going into the unknown here and for the first 20 minutes probably suggested that first goal settled our nerves and the second on the stroke of half time knocked the stuffing out of them one way traffic second half and 4.5k in the bank

A great team performance with some great link up play today. I expected a decent game today but would never have predicted a 6-0 score line. That was down to a few moments of individual quality. It was a very good game to watch from a Hornchurch point of view, looking forward to seeing who we get in the next round!

An excellent performance from the players  and also from the fans.  The walnuts fans were sporting in defeat and the Urchin fans were gracious in victory with both sets of players applauded off the pitch.

With our style of play and fitness getting better every game under Mark Stimpson leadership I can see this side doing well and I'm hoping we can have some good draws to help out.

Come on you  Urchins.

In my experience, to get a single 6-0 win in a season is something special but twice in seven games...... words fail me.
In both cases a reasonably even first half but comprehensive domination in the second half.

I  had a chance to speak with Sean Marks towards the end of last season, he expressed the opinion that we needed more goals from midfield not just him and George Purcell and also to get more clean sheets, as he put it, if you don't concede you don't lose. I think both these aspirations have been met thus far this season.

One downside of beating Kempston Rovers is that Haringey Borough away will now be mid-week which means the North Circular just around the end of rush hour.
(I realise this is a 1st world problem)

I also feel I should write another 600 words just to annoy Mikey Christou and give him cramp in his scrolling finger. (Sure chose the wrong game to go on holiday :) )
