Wind, rain and 3 points.

A real battling performance in terrible conditions. Hard to single out one stand out performance as everyone put in a great shift. The defence as a unit were superb who managed to shut out Folkestone for the first time this season (league). Well played lads!

Good scrap from the top 2 teams in at times awful conditions but it's a result business and we are top of the league

By far the best opponents so far this season. A bit of deja vu from the Stortford game for the first 25 minutes or so as we struggled to get out our own half. Folkestone one touch play was just outrageous. And Sam Hasler on a dead ball - WOW. Joe Wright did so well to keep them out. As the 1st half drew to a close Hornchurch seemed to be getting on top. With the wind and rain at their back Hornchurch were much more dominant and the goal was a beauty- I have to confess that I didn't think Dickson was going to pass to Spence. After that the game was well controlled with Urchins hunting the ball in packs and not giving invicta any time on the ball. It would have been nice to have got a second as an equaliser could have come at any time but TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!

Great result against the best team we have played this season!

Just shows the character of the squad at the moment to grind out results when we need to! Every single player worked their absolute socks off!

Lets get behind the lads again Saturday and push them over the line! TEQUILA!!!!

Its always a nice feeling when the team win in such rubbish weather it makes being soggy worth it.

Excellent game of football from both teams in such bad weather and from the ref too as it is not easy deciding on fouls when the pitch is greasy.

The performance from the urchins shows the team has some character to keep working hard and in the end fitness and discipline kept them going.  The fans were excellent as the 12th man and this side deserves to be up where it is.

Another tough game away to horsham but we saw the belief in our urchins last night that they can beat excellent teams.

Up the urchins

They look really good going forward and that weather was awful. Makes it a really good result (I’m not saying 6 pointer as it’s far too early in the season for that)
