It's the Anfield Rap which was co-written by Craig Johnston. John Barnes on lead vocals. 😀

PetetheGreek - Seeing as you are so interested in football related music, a thread has developed on another Forum entitled 'Non League Football Mentions In Music', I know we are all really struggling at the moment but I think that is taking it a bit too far. Anyway I didn't know that Sham '69 named themselves after Walton & Hersham and their Athenian League Championship win in 1969, the band are from Hersham:

Ollie Bayliss is currently tight lipped about what and who will be featured on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon, I am assuming there was a reporter at Boreham Wood yesterday who unfortunately lost 2-1 at home to Eastleigh having led 1-0 at the interval through a twelfth minute Kane Smith strike. Smith's namesake and substitute Dan Smith proceeded to score the winning goal for Eastleigh deep into stoppage time after they had equalised on seventy minutes, the Wood's controversial Chairman Danny Hunter won't have been best pleased.

Bulletin folks, I have it on good authority that Ollie Bayliss will discuss the critical National League situation with Shadow Minister for Sport Alison McGovern MP on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show at 2.00pm which should be an interesting listen. Additionally he will also talk to Michelle Dorling from the Essex Senior League who is always such great value and reminds me a lot of Tracey James at Biggleswade United the way she wears her heart on her sleeve. Also featured on the show will be Barton Rovers, Boreham Wood and our very own Ampthill Town. Fill your boots:

Here's one for Karen, I wonder whether she will recognise this ground, painted by Hertfordshire artist Sam Edwards who was featured by Ollie Bayliss on his interesting BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon. The painting is being put up for auction by the Club as are all of Mr Edwards's excellent works which he kindly donates to Club's when completed for much needed funds in the current climate:

Ollie Bayliss was chatting to Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton on BBC Five Live yesterday about the National League situation, it's interesting stuff:

Ollie Bayliss is currently very tight lipped about what and who will be featured on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon. Obviously Boreham Wood will be on following their fine 1-0 win at Maidenhead United yesterday with Tyrone Marsh netting after 52 minutes and the Wood are now in a play off berth which will delight their controversial Chairman Danny Hunter. St Albans City and Hemel Hempstead Town will also no doubt be featured following their National League South fixtures yesterday, St Albans City drew 2-2 at Billericay Town and Lee Bircham won't be a happy man after Hemel Hempstead Town's 3-1 home defeat to high flying Dorking Wanderers.

So who listened to it yesterday afternoon then, don't all rush at once, it was another amazing BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show with the highlight being, for us anyway, an interesting interview with Dunstable Town Treasurer Matt Carrington particularly where the 'allocated' funding of £10,500 for each SSML Premier Division Club was concerned through the 'Football Stadia Improvement Fund'. Perhaps unsurprisingly, on hindsight, Mr Carrington stated that Dunstable Town were unable to tap into a penny piece of that money due to being unable to meet the set criteria, presumably the same will go for the majority of Premier Division Club's particularly those who don't own their own ground as Creasey Park is Council owned. It was good to hear about the Crowd Funding initiative the Club are doing for the Luton & Dunstable Hospital Cancer Ward, similar to last year when around £2,500 was rased for the hospital, details can be found on the Club's website, Twitter and Facebook pages. Another interesting feature on the show was the Kit Aid initiative with Harpenden Town being involved in that and kits being sent far and wide particularly to African Countries. Biggleswade FC have announced that they will be groundsharing with Bedford Town next season at The Eyrie, they have sadly been forced to leave the Carlsberg Stadium due to financial reasons and, reading between the lines from Club Secretary Lee Rusbridge, who was on the show, it seems like Biggleswade Town's Chairman Maurice Dorrington wanted to greedily charge heaven and earth for a renewed groundshare agreement. Hemel Hempstead Town Chairman David Boggins talked a really good game about the current National League situation and the Club's Manager Lee Bircham was also on the show as was St Albans City boss Ian Allinson and Boreham Wood supremo Luke Garrard all talking about Saturday's National League results. Lee Bircham sounded a worried man with the Tudors close to the bottom of the National League South and having played far more games than the Club's below them, you have to ask why Lee brought so many players in, particularly Danny Webb from Leighton Town, and then didn't play them.

I wasn't actually aware of Biggleswade FC's groundshare at The Eyrie until Sunday when I heard about it on the BBC Three Counties Radio Non League ShowBiggleswade Town's Chairman Maurice Dorrington should be ashamed shouldn't he asking for for more money in the current climate and I gather it wasn't just a small increase in rent:

Lee Bircham may well have saved his job at a freezing Vauxhall Road this evening (Tuesday) with a 2-0 win over Havant & Waterlooville, BJ Christie and Reggie Young scored the goals. Surprise surprise Danny Webb was brought on in the 88th minute, it was the first game Danny had featured in for Hemel Hempstead Town since the FA Trophy Third Round tie at Bromley on 19 December:

Ollie Bayliss is tight lipped again about what and who will be featured on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon, Hemel Hempstead Town and St Albans City weren't in National League South action yesterday so at least we will hopefully get a rest from Lee Bircham and Ian Allinson this week. Boreham Wood lost 2-0 at Sutton United in a National League fixture that was switched to the all weather Gander Green Lane from Meadow Park, boss Luke Garrard is probably wishing he hadn't agreed to the switch and no doubt he will be on the show later.

The cat is out the bag now, on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon Ollie Bayliss will unsurprisingly discuss the critical National League situation with some Club's saying they can no longer fulfill fixtures. There will be grassroots football discussion with Robbie Savage which should be interesting and the show will also feature Hitchin Town, St Albans City and Marlow FC. Roll on 2.00pm:

Just a reminder that the other Non League Football Show is still going on each week on Friday's, unfortunately host Tim Fuell is not Ollie Bayliss but then who is and last Friday's show was not such a bad listen (see below) albeit all about the NFL and nothing lower down the Pyramid as is always the case:

The other Non League Football Show which took place earlier today is an interesting listen for obvious reasons, it's sadly not Ollie Bayliss but you can use the link above or the one below:

Ollie Bayliss is currently tight lipped about what and who will be featured on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon however it doesn't take a genius to work out that it will be all about the National League fiasco and Hemel Hempstead Town, St Albans City and Boreham Wood. Ollie should have a field day of Edgbaston 1981 proportions and no doubt Lee Bircham, Dave Boggins, Luke Garrard, Danny Hunter, Ian Allinson and Lawrence Levy will be all be spoken to, St Albans City in particular were looking good for a play off berth and possibly the Championship having moved up to fifth place recently with four games in hand of some Club's and three in hand of leaders Dorking Wanderers. It is of little or no surprise then that Chairman Mr Levy said in a statement that 'this Club did not want this to happen and the Directors have been fighting very hard in recent weeks to try and ensure that the league competition would continue and the outcome of the season could be determined on the field of play'. Hopefully there will be at least some mention on the show of League's further down the Pyramid and the SSML.

Bulletin folks, from what I am led to believe Ollie Bayliss will obviously discuss the critical National League situation on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon, fortunately the show won't be all about the National League and I have it on good authority that Ollie will chat to Hellenic League Chairman Bob Dalling about the future of the 2020/21 campaign at Steps 3-6 level. It's strange isn't it how nobody from the SSML hierarchy ever comes on the show or at least I can't remember the last time, I wonder why that is. Fill your boots anyway at 2.00pm:

So who heard it then last Sunday afternoon, don't all rush at once, it was another great BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show despite being largely concentrated on the National League fiasco however you can't blame Ollie Bayliss for focusing on that and, as anticipated, Boreham Wood, St Albans City and Hemel Hempstead Town were all heavily featured. Hemel Hempstead Town Chairman Dave Boggins always talks a lot of sense doesn't he as does St Albans City joint Chairman Lawrence Levy, controversial Boreham Wood Chairman was also on the show pleading poverty however he has all of Arsenal's millions in his back pocket to fall back on. Aside from that there was an interesting interview with Hellenic League Chairman Bob Dalling who is always good value, I'm assuming that the Development sides of Aston Clinton, Buckingham Athletic and Old Bradwell United will all be continuing in the Hellenic League Division Two North for the forseeable future:

Here's something to look forward to on Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show on Sunday, Ollie interviewed National League General Manager Mark Ives today and here's a snippet of what was discussed to whet the appetite ahead of Sunday afternoon, not that it needs whetting. Roll on Sunday:

Just a reminder that the other Non League Football Show took place earlier today if, in the unlikely event, anybody is interested particularly as the co host Dave Anderson totally ruins it week in week out and you can barely understand his brogue, it shows how fortunate we are to have Ollie Bayliss hosting 'our' show:

The Non League Football Show / 26th February 2021 - Step 3-6 Curtailment: Jersey Bulls & Mark Harris (audioboom.com)

In the week the FA announced curtailment of the season across Steps 3-6, Tim Fuell and Dave Anderson get confirmation from Northern Premier League Chairman that that's not the same as Null and Void.
First up Ian Horswell CEO of Jersey Bulls. Two seasons in non league, never beaten... except by the system. Another promotion denied but could there be an opportunity to move up the ladder if the FA bring in Step 4-6 restructuring?
Meanwhile, Mark Harris dispels some myths, quells some fears and honestly assesses the way forward for non league.
Rounding off the show, David Richardson, Senior Writer of The Non League Paper with a look ahead to this weekend's paper.

Ollie Bayliss has already divulged what will be on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon, in addition to his interview with National League General Manager Mark Ives the show will also feature the Essex Senior League, the Football Supporters Association (FSA) and the Herts Senior County League. Fill your boots at 2.00pm:

So who listened to it then yesterday afternoon, don't all rush at once, you don't expect to be on the edge of your seat listening to radio do you however Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show manages to do that for two hours and especially yesterday with the forty minute or so interview with National League General Manager Mark Ives. The trouble with Ollie is that he is far too nice and doesn't like ruffling feathers, he hasn't got a Piers Morgan or Jeremy Paxman style so the interviewee has an easy ride as was the case with Mr Ives yesterday who was able to get away with blue murder for the way he has overseen the National League fiasco, that's obvioulsy no criticism of Ollie Bayliss. When slightly probed as to why no Minutes were taken at the all important meeting between the FA, DCMS and National League to discuss future funding 'grants', Mr Ives just shugged his shoulders and said it wasn't a National League meeting, that pretty much says it all. Aside from that, Michelle Dorling was on the show from the Essex Senior League as was Andy Walsh from the Football Supporters Association (FSA) and Scott Patmore from the Herts Senior County League who all gave interesting and informative interviews. Chalfont St Peter supremo Finlay Johnson discussed some excellent Charity work he is involved with at Mill Meadow and lastly a disappointed Luke Garrard was interviewed following Boreham Wood's 2-2 National League draw with Solihull Moors on Saturday at Meadow Park which they should have won comfortably:

Sorry folks, it's the Suffolk Non League Show again from last night, the good news though is that Ollie Bayliss was guesting and you can listen to his feature at exactly 8 minutes and 20 seconds into the show, you can then obviously switch off straight afterwards. To be far to the hosts they did welcome Ollie as describing him as 'Non League Royalty' however even that is an understatement, hopefully they were on their knees and did an Austin Powers 'We Are Not Worthy' in the studio:
