Savagebee - I agree that this is arguably the game of the day however I do feel that Leighton Town have had an eye on next Saturday's FA Vase tie for a week now hence their disappointing 0-0 draw with Wembley last Saturday and the 4-0 drubbing at Potton United on Tuesday:

There could be plenty of goals in this one this afternoon:

Premier Division

Eynesbury Rovers v Crawley Green

Eynesbury Rovers new Management trio of Ash Fuller, Dean Greygoose and Steve Kuhne haven't exactly been pulling up trees since being handed the reins have they so Craig Bicknell and Craig Meyrick will no doubt be fancying their chances this afternoon:

I fear London Colney will be cut adrift at the bottom of the table if they lose today:

I wonder if Ant Christophi is slowly managing to turn it around at Ampthill Park with a hard fought point at Milton Keynes Robins and a win over Enfield Borough in his last two league games, it hasn't been easy for him since Paul Blackman departed:

I'll quickly get this in before you-know-who starts sniffing around

LEVERSTOCK GREEN 1-4 BALDOCK TOWN

The quoted attendance of 63 must surely have included the large gaggle of ex-Pancakes who’d gathered in the clubhouse as some form of tribute to one of their former team-mates who seemed to have developed some health issues. To be honest, they might have done better on the pitch today than the current crop who were completely bossed and outplayed by the visitors who raced into a four goal lead thanks to a rather clumsy own-goal before LG managed to sneak in a consolation which was greeted by only one person. Baldock’s following seemed to consist of one bloke in a black tracksuit top and five kids who spent the entire game down the bottom kicking their own ball around.

The title race may not be all over bar the shouting afterall following this afternoon's results and Tring Athletic close the gap on Colney Heath to five points with a game in hand. A Sonny Newbury-Barr strike on 63 minutes was enough to give Leighton Town all three points in an excellent win against the league leaders in their own back yard, meanwhile at Preston Park, Tring Athletic were 1-0 ahead at the interval only to see Broadfields United equalise on 56 minutes however further goals on 75 and 79 minutes gave the Cow Lane Club all three points.

You really have to hand it to Leverstock Green every week don't you for penning their match report so quickly even when they lose, unlike some Club's. The result makes Edgware Town's 4-0 win over Baldock Town last week seem all the more strange:

Courtney Austin scores again for Rayners Lane he could be a great signing for the club if he remains at the club longer than five minutes.

Savagebee - It's really strange as, you may recall, the score was exactly the same last season with Ronnie Blagden, Dominic Saint-Louis and Jamie McKay netting for Rayners Lane.

I didn't know that.
