Rhodes 222
Buckingham Athletic's SSML Division One fixtures for the forthcoming campaign, I wonder what Scott Reynolds is realistically hoping for this season as his preparation has been hit and miss with some slightly disappointing pre-season results, lets hope it will be alright on the 'night' for the FA Vase First Qualifying Round tie with Holmer Green at Stratford Fields on Saturday 19 September:

Rhodes 222
Hold onto your hats folks, over 100 photographs, courtesy of Sports Shots, from the pre-season friendly at Stratford Fields on Tuesday evening (8 September) between Buckingham Athletic Development and Milton Keynes Irish Athletic resulting in a pulsating 4-4 stalemate. It was certainly not a game for the faint-hearted where the hosts led by a goal on four separate occasions only to be pegged back each time, Jordan Tavener from the penalty spot, a brace from Tom Marshall and Tavener again with a brilliant fourth goal netted for Buckingham Athletic Development who are eagerly awaiting their fixtures for their Hellenic League Division Two North campaign ahead: https://www.sportsshots.org.uk/2020/09/09/psf-buckingham-athletic-development-4-4-mk-irish-athletic/

It was certainly no mean feat for Buckingham Athletic Development to win at 'The Heights', near Banbury in Oxfordshire, Matt Carr and Oliver Golding netted. I gather they will now entertain Division Two East side Chalfont Wasps in the Second Round of the competition who beat Old Bradwell United Development 2-1 at Abbey Road on Saturday, this Saturday (3 October) the Development side play their first Division Two North game of the new campaign when they travel to Headington Amateurs followed by a visit to Old Bradwell United Development a week later on 10 October. Meanwhile the First team impressively won 2-0 at Ampthill Town last night (Tuesday) with goals from Stuart Ironmonger and Owen James following their rather disappointing 1-0 defeat at London Tigers on Saturday, this Saturday (3 October) Scott Reynolds men entertain Enfield Borough at Stratford Fields followed by a visit to McMullen Park to take on current SSML Division One surprise leaders Bedford a week later on 10 October: Edited September 30, 2020 by Rhodes

Instead of complaining, as some Managers would do, Scott has professionally rolled up his sleeves and got on with things and it says it all about him that his team lifted the Team Of The Week award on Ollie Bayliss's Non League Show recently with the great man giving a totally riveting and articulate interview on the show. The month began with an impressive 5-1 win over a young Enfield Borough side (see match report) followed by a hard fought 0-0 draw at Bedford's McMullen Park who, at that time, were in top spot having won their first four League outings. There then followed an amazing midweek 9-1 victory over a beleaguered Hillingdon Borough outfit with Owen James netting a hat trick followed by a quick return to Stratford Fields to beat an in form Stotfold 3-2 (see report) which, in times gone by under previous Management, would have been a banana skin for the side. Unfortunately the last two fixtures given to the Club, somewhat unfairly, have proved a bridge too far, with a 5-2 defeat at 'big boys' St Panteleimon last Saturday and a narrow 1-0 home defeat to a very good Milton Keynes Irish team on Tuesday evening (see report) who netted just after the interval and somehow managed to hang on like grim death in the end especially when Jeremiah Adams struck the inside of a post in the 74th minute and Owen James shot wide in the final seconds with the net gaping wide. On Saturday Scott Reynolds takes his leg weary troops to Rayners Lane in a hope of getting back to winning ways before another road trip to Langford the following Wednesday (4 November): https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/enfieldboroughfc/teams/154408/match-centre/1-6378943/report https://www.stotfoldfc.co.uk/Matchreport.aspx?id=476784 https://www.botp.co.uk/blog/what-no-red Edited October 29, 2020 by Rhodes

Winslow Boy 285
Cannot for the life of me figure out why Ath had their goal disallowed against Langford, watching Cold Ends (brilliant) highlights all I saw was someone win a perfectly good aerial challenge. Rhodes 222
Winslow Boy - I think Buckingham Athletic unfortunately got the rough end of the stick in their last few games prior to lockdown and since beating Stotfold 3-2 on 17 October when they briefly topped Division One. Firstly Karen handed them St Panteleimon away and Milton Keynes Irish at home back to back on a Saturday and Tuesday and then a difficult trip to Rayners Lane (photographs below) where I gather they were robbed blind, then, as you say, they should have won comfortably at Langford who had already lost four League matches at Forde Park. Hopefully Scott Reynolds can get back to winning ways on 5 December, coincidentally against Langford at Stratford Fields:
Winslow Boy 285
Yes certainly unfair, Karen shouldn’t have scheduled them to play any difficult sides, who does she think she is?! Karen Browne
