I see that Buckingham Athletic are re-launching their Under 18's set up for the 2021/22 campaign which the Club had reluctantly decided to put on ice this season, as it turned out it was the right decision due to Covid although they would have no doubt reached as far as Winslow United Under 18's did in the FA Youth Cup, if not further. Who can possibly forget their exploits during the 2017/18 campaign when reaching the First Round proper of the FA Youth Cup against Northampton Town at Stratford Fields and beating Oxhey Jets, Flackwell Heath, Windsor and Hampton & Richmond Borough en route:

The main message is that there is NO CHANGE whilst we remain in lockdown. We are in the Government’s hands and no football at our level will be played until we are released

It's puzzling why Buckingham Athletic Development haven't entered the Hellenic League end of season Challenge Cup competition, there are Club's from Division Two North participating such as Adderbury Park, Headington Amateurs, Heyford Athletic, Southam United, Risborough Rangers Development and Long Crendon Reserves so it's strange particularly as boss Scott Reynolds takes a keen interest in every aspect of the Club and the First team and Development team return to training at Stratford Fields on Tuesday 6 April:

The groups for the Hellenic League Challenge Cups have been drawn. Fixtures and dates will be confirmed in due course.

unfortunately Northampton Town proved too strong on the night winning 4-2 but not before Buckingham Athletic had taken a 19th minute lead through Tom Mcllroy and Ben Quay also equalised on 55 minutes after Athletic had fallen behind at 2-1, what an achievement:

A Sports Shots article and interview with the returning Buckingham Athletic Under 18's boss Steve Farmborough, who can possibly forget his exploits in 2017/18 when taking the Under 18's to the First Round proper of the FA Youth Cup against Northampton Town at Stratford Fields (see photographs) having beaten Hampton & Richmond Borough (see photographs), Windsor, Flackwell Heath and Oxhey Jets along the way:

A Brache Sparta v Buckingham Athletic team sheet from the 1993/94 South Midlands League Premier Division campaign, I assume the Referee was from St Ives Cambridgeshire and not Cornwall. Is Mark Cruse Matt's Father by any chance who has scored goals for fun over the years during three separate spells at Stratford Fields:

It's a great team photograph isn't it and of course the man himself, Scott Reynolds, third from the left in the front row. Scott hasn't got out of first gear as yet since his arrival at Stratford Fields but you sense he is just about to:
