Rhodes 222
We have a thread on Managers so why not Chairmen as it could be a useful reference point, Wikipedia is not always correct and not everyone has access to a SSML Handbook. Karen Browne 575
First of all, these people need to be addressed as Chairpersons given they are of mixed gender. Secondly, no I don't keep a list as rarely need to contact them, if I do then I obtain the details from the handbook.

Maybe Rhodes works for the FA.

Big J R 723
I think it all depends on weather a club Chairman sees 'The Club' as a personal 'money box' or not in these hard times. I have a feeling quite a few chairmen will be deciding to do a 'runner' now Covid19 is well on the rise again.

Big J R - I don't think that will be the case in the SSML as most, if not all, of 'our' Chairpersons are a hardy bunch and dedicated to the core, I don't think any have pound signs in front of their eyes and see their Club as a 'cash cow'. AlwaysLeighton 3
Alan Penman is no longer Chairperson at Leighton as of a month or so ago. Steve Harris is currently acting chairperson.

Why do you keep referring to it as SSML, its SSMFL, goggle SSML and you'll find nothing comes up with regards to the league, If you can't get the name of the league correct why even bother! TringArmy - Would you agree that it all started to go 'Pete Tong' at Cow Lane when Howard Wells walked away in December last year, since then it seems to have been one problem after another at the Club. Surely you couldn't have wished for a more high profile Chairman at Step 5 level and his arrival in September 2017 was a 'fairytale' story whereby he grew up in the area and went to the well heeled Ashlyns School in Berkhamsted, joining Tring Athletic at the tender age of fourteen, Mr Wells felt it was important to put something back into the local game at a time when the Club he loved were "moving forward with clear ambitions", or so he thought: https://nonleague.pitchero.com/headlines/experienced-man-take-tring-athletic-helm/

GRS67 - I'm not sure what you mean, everyone knows it as the SSML and Karen refers to it as that too, obviously it is a Football League so why include the 'F'. Anyway good luck this evening at Potton United, hopefully you won't still have a hangover from the 4-0 defeat at Eynesbury Rovers on Saturday.

I think it'll open up new opportunities and I feel a possible easier access route to winning promotion to Step 4. The SSMFL or SSML as Rhodes refers to it, want to make it a North of Watford League removing thier Southern most clubs. The merger of the two leagues has been one sided for many years now, in favour of its more north of Watford based clubs. Edited October 20, 2020 by GRS67
