Following our impressive win on Saturday against Ramsgate, we have landed another home tie in the draw made a short time ago at FA headquarters, and for the successive season we will host Maldon & Tiptree at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium. A date for this fixture is to be confirmed.

A match to look forward to!

To be or not to be?

That is the question many fans supporting non-league clubs involved in the FA Trophy are asking in these very uncertain, while troubled times.

A week ago, while we were hammering Ramsgate 8-1 at the QE2 Stadium to reach the First Round Proper of the FA Trophy, our next opponents Maldon & Tiptree were making history of their own, beating Kingstonian to progress to the first round of the competition, for the first time since the club was formed in 2010.

The Jammers are, by any standards, having a very successful season, both in the league, FA Cup, and the FA Trophy. Having been cruelly denied promotion to the Isthmian Premier Division last season, they are making a strong challenge again this season in the Isthmian North Division, where they are second in the table with games in hand, well placed for another promotion push in the 20-21 season, pandemic permitting.

In the Emirates FA Cup this season, they have already dispatched Braintree Town (0-1 away), Haringey Borough  (1-0 home), and now face Morecambe at home this Sunday, a match which is being screened live on BBC and BT Sport digital platforms. This provides a great opportunity to see our next FA Trophy opponents in action, and assess their relative strengths and weaknesses, before we, hopefully, play them early December (?).

Amid all the present uncertainty, one thing for sure, Maldon will come to us full of confidence, after already  beating some decent sides in the two FA competitions this season. We will need to be up for it, deliver another determined, high octane performance, maintain our 100% unbeaten home record, and remember we beat the Jammers at the QE2 Stadium last season.

This promises to be a great cup-tie and a difficult match for both clubs. Let's hear your own thoughts and prediction for this match Towners.

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good weekend. I am sure all Towners are looking forward to our forthcoming FA Trophy match at the QE2 Stadium on Wednesday evening (KO 7.45pm). This is an all ticket match and tickets can now be purchased online via the ETFC official website.

There is plenty of interest in this match, which is likely to be another very close, exciting contest. As we saw last season, the Jammer's are a very good side, and they ran us close in our 4-3 win. We will need another top draw, high octane performance over ninety minutes, to repeat that win..

Evening cup matches, under the lights at the QE2, create a special atmosphere, and we need all Towners there to get behind our guys, with plenty of vocal support throughout the match, to help them deliver the result we all want.

Let's hear your own thoughts on how you see the match, team selection, and the likely outcome. There will be no replay, so the match will be decided on the night.

Don't miss it !  See you there.  COYT

May be wrong but thought he played against us when the Urchins beat us 4 nil last season.  We never got a grasp of him all game and he caused lots of trouble at set pieces and on the floor too.      Quite surprised how players like MJ and the above player both don't seem valued by their previous owners.    Hopefully their loss is our gain!!

Good addition.  :)

Adam Cunnington could be a great addition. He has certainly caused us plenty of trouble in past years playing for Billericay.

Yeah right .He thinks he's god gift.
