Before we go into the detail of your own personal ineptitude this week, may I thank you all for the surprising lack of criticism last week in respect of my organisational competence and deep-rooted corruption.  Thank You!  Or alternatively you may simply have accepted that these accusations, while possibly true, will fall upon stony ground in this scarily unregulated and dystopian world.  (Or “you’re talking to the hand” in modern parlance).

Anyway, the biggest excitement of the week was that until half time of the Brighton-Leicester game, FOUR of you were on zero points (see end of last week's thread). Wow.  That IS impressive.  Unfortunately the 88th minute winner for The Foxes meant this was whittled down to ONE.  Step forward THE HATTED URCHIN who scored the first real-live zero* since full records began in 2015.  [* with 4 or more games played or 3 games + attendance].  To make it worse for our Scottish Correspondent, he actually put in slightly less outré scores than normal. Food for thought there, eh, Jimmy?

And as we like to dwell on failure rather than success (we leave the success to the actual First Team), I should probably leave it there.  But I will point out that Sir Colin is clinging to the top of the pile despite a sound thrashing from a resurgent MikeMike, leaving five teams tied together on 16 points.  Division 2 is a bit more spread out.  Blackballed is leading but I normally only mention him when he loses so please disregard this comment.

Golden Boot award goes to Dinamo (along with the rather duller  “highest margin of the season so far” award).

Lucky B@st@rd award goes to the long-suffering Wivenhoe – about time he had some good fortune.   Diamond Geezer must be rubbing his eyes in disbelief too.

I’m rambling. Here you go ...

Upminster Division

Next week (Nb. For Div 2 this is a reverse of week 2, then it will be weeks 4, 7, 8, 9.  Div 1 won't start repeating until week 12.)

Jago, I can take all the praise you're not giving me, but I would like to point out I've won the most games and have the highest goals and points so far.

I know I'll probably not win another for the rest of this session so I'm making my point now while I can.

Ps thanks for the mention when I nearly scored a zero.
