Like this guy. Honest reviews. Prone to missing goals though, we’ve all been there 😂

I'm warming to him, I wonder why he always takes so much criticism especially on another Forum, presumably some Club's don't like him filming and Oxhey Jets have always been a bit pedantic at the Boundary Stadium for some reason. See match reports and photographs from both Club's and local press coverage from Saturday:

Yeah he loves his groundhopping that's for sure. He wasn't happy with some of the Oxhey Jets stewards though and from his account of what happend I don't blame him.

I met the bloke last Friday (3rd September) at Burnham FC, while watching Britwell v Frontline in the East Berkshire League Premier Division. He’s one of the nicest blokes you’d ever meet. He’s not big headed, and up for a chat about non league football. He wasn’t filming that game, shame it was a cracking game.

Yeah Joseph seems a nice honest bloke.

Refreshing change to see someone reviewing games without bias, a man who enjoys footy in its purest form and has found a hobby he seems to really enjoy… The majority of stewards and clubman are usually more than welcoming, shame there’s always the odd one or two.

Sunday 5 September (kick off 3.00pm)

Baldock Town v Wisbech Town

How do we think this tie will go this afternoon, could Baldock Town be the only SSML Club definitely through to tomorrow's draw:

A great result for Baldock Town at Hitchin Road on Sunday afternoon and they now travel to Wingate & Finchley or Basildon United who replay this evening:

Sunday 5 September

Baldock Town 1 Wisbech Town 0

Massive FA Cup win for Baldock (baldocktownfc.com)

Hastings United were a very well run team, lots of support staff, the team played exceptionally well, and they left the changing room looking cleaner than when they arrived. Class act and wish them well in their remaining ties. Also their left back has one of the longest throws i've ever seen, think Rory Delap

Not Ian Hutchinson then, he was obviously before your time. Hastings United thought a lot of you too, it's really nice to see, I don't expect they gave Richard Pacquette a sniff but why was the great man only a substitute, coming on when you were already 3-0 down:

Also I would like to say thank you to @harefieldutd, lovely hospitality and just lovely people. Will be wishing you all the best going forward and keeping an eye out!

Wednesday 8 September

FA Cup First Qualifying Round Replays

Kingstonian 8 Oxhey Jets 1

A groundhopper from another Forum was at the rout on Wednesday:

Kingstonian 8 v 1 Oxhey Jets - FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round Replay
Prog 32 pages £2.00 - Admission £10.00 - Att. 251

TBH far more expected than the previous nights rout @ Basildon. Kingstonian currently stand top of ILP with a 100% league record and Oxhey are lower midtable in the SML, two levels below and the drawn result in the first match did register whilst surveying the results whilst travelling around various Norwich taverns on Saturday evening.
The outcome here was one of the most one sided contests seen for a very long time, Kingstonian like their ILP counterparts Wingate & Finchley the previous evening were devastating in front of goal. However this should be further qualified by the fact that the vast majority of the hosts goals were from close range, whenever they shot from distance (and this was quite frequently) they found Rob Partington between the sticks for the visitors in acrobatic form. Without doubt the MOTM even after conceding eight goals he made a series of flying leaps and dives to push goal bound shots around the post or over the bar and over the duration of the first half it did look as if his abilities would frustrate the hosts.
The irony was that after forty three minutes of dealing with a succession of powerfully struck shots from distance, Partington was finally beaten by a close range tap in from Gus Sow who had the easiest of tasks after the visiting defence had failed to deal with the threat on the posed by Rhys Murrell-Williamson who had the time and space to send over a low cross. Sow's goal made up for a previous awful miss from six yards out when he ballooned a rebound high into the periodically illuminated by lightning Tolworth sky.
Once the anticipated heavy rain started in time for the second half, the visiting defence was torn apart by a succession of effective home attacks. The lead was doubled by Daniel Ajakaiye with time to pick his spot after the Oxhey defence was dissected by an angled pass forward by Kershaney Samuels. Simple third soon after when Murrell-Williamson had far too much space on the flank and his low cross was converted from close range by Ajakaiye side footing in.
There was a very brief interlude when they were gifted a goal by the home defence. Awful ninety degree pass to his left by Juevan Spencer put Simon Cooper under unnecessary pressure, Sean Giordmaina nipped into and placed past the somewhat under employed Simon Tolfrey (probably the easiest of 557 appearances for Kingstonian) to reduce the deficit to 3-1.
All pulling a goal back did for Oxhey was to sting the hosts into a succession of flowing moves that exposed the flimsiness of the visiting defence. The first of which ended when an onrushing Ajakaiye was sent to the ground by a nudge in the back resulting in a penalty which Jason Banton sent to the opposite side of Partington's forlorn dive.
The attacking procession in the direction of the Oxhey goal continued without any easing up, which was commendable given the tendency of many teams to revert to game management when it is assumed to be required, there were fears that the views of the illuminated sky caused by the expected thunderstorm would be prove to be more of a distraction than what was occurring on the pitch. Thankfully, this was not the case.
Easy fifth continuing the low cross, close range tap in theme, this time Samuels with the cross and Ajakaiye completing his hat trick with the simplest of finishes. Then another penetrative run past an increasingly ran ragged defence and accompanying low cross led to a straight forward close range finish from Elliott Buchanan. Buchanan then scored his second and Kingstonian's seventh of the evening with the deftest of touches over Partington after an equally deft chip forward from Teo Kurtaran. To conclude the best strike of the evening arrowed into the corner by Murrell-Williamson who for his efforts on the flanks fully deserved his entry on the score sheet. One of those contests that showed the chasm in ability between the higher levels of Level 3 and the lower reaches of Level 5.
Straightforward journeys in both directions, though the walk back to Tolworth Station was rather wet, though after the heat and humidity of the previous few days this came as a form, or relief. Indoors at 00.09.
