Admission - £6 (including programme), Attendance - 39, Venue: Forde Park
A ground which you would miss on a Saturday but the floodlights gave its location away tonight. Located on the road between Langford and Henlow, there is ample off road parking (for tonight’s fixture at least) however the car park floods so you have to watch where you are stepping in the dark. Very friendly staff, the Club house is offset behind one goal. The 4 sides are all accessible via a thin pathway however all 4 sides have room to pass on the grass. One touchline has an e-Bay flat pack seated stand and an e-Bay flat pack covered standing area. 3 sides of the ground are conifer lined. A basic but albeit pleasant ground to watch football.
Game - a really open ended first half saw Raunds hit the cross bar early on, shortly afterwards Langford scored a screamer when the ball was whipped into the top right corner from distance, 1-0. Raunds equalised soon after with yet another great goal, some good build up play and another whipped shot this time into the bottom right corner, 1-1. Raunds scored a second with yet another well worked goal into the bottom left, 1-2. Langford equalised through a lovely lofted chip, 2-2. The away side took the lead again when a mishit cross was miscontrolled but luckily this out did the defenders and the ball was slotted under the keeper, 2-3. The second half was a lot quieter with both teams having half chances but nothing much of note. Raunds did seal the game in injury time with a counter attack hit off the post and in, 2-4.
