Holmer Green are obviously over the moon to reach a major Cup Final, congratulations to them as they are a nice Club and founded as long ago as 1908:

Holmer Green battled their way past high-riding Ampthill Town by a single goal to a place in The SSMFL Division One Cup Final, the opponents will be Eaton Socon FC.

Apart from the Wycombe Senior Cup Final four years ago, this is the first Cup Final contested by Holmer Green FC since 2006.

But Holmer have won this Cup before, in 1996 versus Houghton Town 3-0 at Manor Fields, Bletchley and in 1999 in a replay versus Totternhoe 5-0 after a 2-2 draw, both games being at Hillingdon Borough.

Congratulations to Manager Paul Batchelor and the players, an extra accomplishment to be noted is that in winning 4-0 at Buckingham Athletic and beating London Tigers and Ampthill Town both by 1-0 at Watchet Lane, The Greens have not conceded a goal in this competition.

Absolutely wild that these are the cup finalists. Kudos to them.
