Alright guys, now don't be biased Aylesbury fans, I'm a Hendon follower, and we're 5th and your 23rd (last time I looked) anyways! To business!

I'm doing a coursework database thingy on the Ryman League, and I need team info! Now I'm on Billericay alphabetically and I went to their website, and to be honest its rubbish! Now all I wanted was some history on the club, I quite like this place so if I have good replies and decent answers then I may pose more queries to you guys.

Okay later on guys, I'll be back later, to see if anyone took any notice of me!

Billericay Town - was formed in 1880

Recent History - Were founder members of the Essex Senior League and the clubs six year stay in that competition saw them win the championship three times and were runners-up twice. The league cup was won four times and they were finalists once. In addition they won the League Challenge Cup the only time it was competed for.

Progressing to the Athenian League in 1977, Billericay won the Championship and the League Cup in thier first season. They became Champions again in 1978/79 and after two seasons were elected to the Isthmian League.

Whilst members of the Essex Senior League, the club won the FA Vase in 1976 when Stamford were beaten 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. The following season saw the club go to Wembley again and after a 1-1 draw, they defeated Sheffield 2-1 in the replay at Nottingham Forest's City Ground.

Billericay Town became the only club so far to win the FA Vase three times when they stuffed Almonsbury Greenway 4-1 at Wembley Stadium in 1979. This match was notable for a hat-trick by the legendary Doug Young - the first at Wembley since Geoff Hurst's in the 1966 World Cup Final.

Billericay's league success continued in the Isthmian League when in thier first season they walked to the Division Two Championship with a winning margin of 17 points. The following season in Division One they finished runners-up, the first time that a club had won promotion in two successive seasons following entry into the league.

Billericay spent five seasons in the Premier until being relegated in 1986. They spent two seasons in Division One before suffering relegation again, this time into Division Two North.

Following a re-organisation of the league, Billericay gained promotion back into Division One. Thier rightful place in the Premier Division was obtained in 1998 and 12th position was gained in the first season back. This season has seen a new manager in local boy and ex-spurs player Justin Edinburgh. More recently has seen a new chairman in Steve Kent, and plans for a controversial move to a new stadium in Gloucester Park, South Billericay (oops, Basildon), have been booted out. Although currently bottom of the Premier Division, the mighty 'Ricay will rise once again to steam-roller all that cross her path!

That'll do for starters!!
