Clean Up Day: Saturday 31st May

On Saturday 31st May from 9am we will be holding our first clean up day of the summer.

We will be starting from 9am and will be looking for volunteers to come and help spruce up the Stadium for the upcoming season.

We ask that volunteers bring gardening gloves and gardening equipment.

Hi All, 

For Saturday, we will be looking to complete the following jobs (volunteer numbers dependant);

• Jet Wash Hasbeen's Hill and Oil the decking
• Paint the Eastside panels
• Clean out the cellar 
• Remove redundant signs and debris around the Stadium
• De-weed the car park
• Jet wash tunnel area and re-sand
• Paint brickwork in tunnel area
• Move the fridges from the outdoor bar to Jimmy's bar (in preparation for 2 new taps being installed in the Temper Gold bar)
• Paint wooden fences where possible
• Tidy memorial garden
• Add external lighting to Hasbeen's Hill
• Clear overgrown areas around the ground. 
• Clean the dugouts 
• Jet wash the turnstiles 

In addition, we are looking for an electrician to look in the away changing room toilets as the lighting doesn't work. 

In terms of materials, these will all be provided. However, we are on the lookout the following equipment for volunteers to bring over if they have them; 

• Gardening gloves
• Gardening strimmers 
• Paint brushes, rollers and trays
• Jet Washer (we have one - another would be handy) 
• Paint sprayer (we have one - another would be handy)
• Heat gun (to try and restore the red seats!)

We are currently not allowed to use any water based equipment within the stadium currently as a new track is being relaid so items like cleaning the stands will need to be done by hand. 

Segregation Project

We are in discussions with the council about possibly using the alternative entrance at the Windmill end of the ground to enable us to provide full segregation. If this is approved by the residents and the council, significant works will need to be undertaken. As part of next weeks work, we would like to get this area as tidy as possible. Further working parties will be required to complete this.
