Pre season games

We're due a pre season game against Southend as part of the Leon deal.

With our pre season fixtures still not announced is the hold up due to Southend having not yet announced their fixtures?

From a personal and monetary point of view for the club hopefully this game will be at AP.

It’ll be at AP although it’s not really a money spinner but maybe Southend have waived any share of the gate (if that happens in friendlies?) and expenses. Be great if Leon played a small part.

Glen, how do you know it'll be at AP?

As for a money spinner I'd certainly hope it would generate quite a bit of interest especially if Leon was involved. 

I haven't heard of an away side getting any share of the gate from a friendly.

You're right it wouldn't make any sense but we'll see.

Southend certainly seem to be dragging their heels with their pre season arrangements.

So our pre season fixtures have been confirmed minus one home game which presumably will be the Southend game.

TBH as the Southend game was part of the Leon deal not sure why it couldn't have been the first fixture to be penciled in by Southend. 

As it stands with 2 games a week not sure how are we're going to fit in an extra fixture.
