Multi ball system

I've just read an article that says the National League are introducing a 'Multi Ball System' for next season.

Every game is to have 10 match balls, 1 in play, 1 with the 4th official and 8 spread around the pitch.

2 down both touch lines and 2 behind both of the goals either side of the posts.

All 8 balls around the pitch will be put on cones and will be manned by a ball retriever.

There’s a new football supplier this season, as Mitre take over the sponsorship from New Balance.

Plenty of efficient retrievers will be required as it looks like the balls will be retailing for about £75-80 each.

8 balls 8 retrievers 4 either side of the goals.

Bring  some canines in to collect them, saves the club money that way.

as a retired athletics coach give me a group of young 800m runners and I'd plan a good hard session around keeping the balls in play

Multi ball system in action last night at Maidenhead v Boring Wood, well partially. Eight balls on plinths but a shortage of ballboys, 3 or 4 at most. Major issue for a lot of clubs imo. Spotted one ball in the canal afterwards! 

3-2 to Maidenhead btw, some choice language from Luke Garrard at times. BW may struggle on this showing, whereas Maidenhead looked decent.

Didn't need to see it last night HT to know it is stupid at our level. Even the players couldn't work it out most of the time. The ball went down the line and they went after it, often times running past a ball on a cone. Another brilliant addition by the fools at the NL🙈🙈
