That's 2 pre season games we've had against youthful Reading sides.

I know it's disappointing that it was an U23 team, but who said we were playing their 1st team?

I think it's a good thing that there appears to be some relationship developing with Reading. We don't have enough of these with the local "big" teams (we never play friendlies with Wycombe or Maidenhead for example); hopefully good things will come from this.

Definitely stated somewhere or by someone that it was against their 1st team.

Mind you I'm glad it wasn't.

Nathan, just found it on our x feed.

It was put on there by Scott saying that Reading have asked us to play a friendly against their 1st team.

More than likely to re place their cancelled friendly against Oxford United.

I'm not doubting you RR but when was this posted? I've just checked on my phone and I'm not seeing anything like that on our feed at all?

I don't think it really matters Nathan.

It was a pre season game and apparently it was competitive end to end game.

I'd rather that sort of game than a one sided battering against their 1st team :lol:

We've had two pre season games against Reading and all we know is that we drew 1-1 in the second game.

Both games were behind closed doors but why should that make any difference when providing supporters with squad and score details?

It's clear to them that cynical lies were told to boost the attendance they're not happy!

Adrian, both of the Reading games were behind closed doors because Bearwood Park is their training ground and does not allow entry to the general public.
