So hard to judge. Have to say I was concerned with the signings instinctively and not seen any pre-season.. but have seen a few people say we did well in those games and one person even said we'd finish top half easily. 

At the moment, yes I'd take a draw, but Tonbridge seem like another team who have recruited quite a few players, so could be there for the taking if things click. 

Am I right in saying there are now more subs / subs allowed this season?

Lost 3-1 last season, so would be happy with a draw to start the season with.

Going solely on pre season I don't think anyone knows what to expect.

We did well against Brentford B and Southend but nothing to write home about when mixing and matching against lower league sides.

Lets hope when it comes to the real stuff we can string it all together as a team.

After the Southend game I said if we can perform like that in the league we'd have no trouble finishing in the top half.

When we should have been looking to push on, and mainly due to missing players we then put in a not so good performance against Wealdstone.

7 subs allowed but only 5 can be used.

Two teams that finished the season on the same points with both sides having recruited a lot of new players.

Should be a tight game but I reckon we can take all 3 points.

The bookies have both ourselves and Tonbridge as relegation candidates Of course I'd  like to see a Rebel win  Tonbridge however seem relaxed a d pleased with their pre season games 4wins and 2 draws from six but this game is where there are points to gain and a sense of purpose COYR

Think Tonbridge is a must win as if you look at the rest of the games In August other than an odd point against Hemel and Enfield I can't see us picking up anything against dorking, Eastbourne or ebbsfleet need points on the board going into September otherwise it will be another squeaky bum season dodging relegation places

Only played 6 for Welling scoring 1 joined from Welsh Premier Haverfordwest 9 from 29 prior to that with Met Police 8 from 20  became noticed  scoring 8 from 9 various England youth levels noted also for a high number of assists

Not great stats so not a lot to worry about.

Tonbridge must be confident about getting a good result against us on Saturday.

Just been on their website and seen they have arranged  a "post-match party" in their marquee straight after Saturday's match for their fans to attend.

The Tonbridge staff and  players will also be there.

I quote from their website

" Bring your mates, grab a pint and celebrate the match in style. Let's make it a night to remember ! "

Don't know about anybody else, but I love being a party pooper !

Agree Hemel will be tough but a point at home to Enfield?

We must have an excellent chance of getting all 3 points against Enfield, if not it could be a long old season.
