Catering at Arbour Park

Not sure what bright spark decided that we should stop selling beverages in the upstairs food outlet.

Most supporters who buy something to eat will also want a tea or coffee to go with it.

You now have to queue up to buy something to eat and then queue up again downstairs to get something to drink.

Any chance of someone getting this situation sorted.

Excellent question RR let's hope you get a satisfactory credible answer!

Again I think this question is probably better directed to the club or someone on a match day.  Not sure you'll get a response on this forum.

Most of the matchday volunteers and officials have been driven away from posting on here due I presume to the constant negativity, criticism and phrasing.

If that is the case have they also been driven away from our X and Facebook pages because there's plenty of 'negativity' on there.

In fact if they don't like to hear any honest/negative comments I would suggest they consider quitting social media altogether.

BTW I did ask someone behind the counter and they had no idea so i'll be asking someone from the club tomorrow who might have an answer.

Watch out everyone, RR is on the war path…

It’s to do with Queues, the coffee machine takes a little bit of time to produce a drink therefore causing longer waiting times at the hot food counter.

Having this at a dedicated spot allows for less of a wait for hot food

i have often had to wait for hot food while i drunk my drink and had to order another drink so i think this is a thin excuse for a poor idea

Am I missing something but isn't making tea and coffee just a matter of pouring hot water into a cup.

The queues are because of waiting for food not beverages.

To expect supporters to queue up for food and then go downstairs to rebels and queue again for a drink is just plain crazy.

If this is the case then yes it’s not ideal at all and will lose the club money. Hopefully a solution is being looked into.

Why have a machine that sounds like it takes time to make coffee?

Just do the same as tea, pour hot water into a cup with coffee in.

Because you can charge £2.50+ for coffee and tea from a machine and alot less for the old fashioned method🤔.

100% understand why the club do it with the machine and money, but I think its a bit of a liberty really.

I'd also add that the hot drinks machine is very slow in the upstairs food point. We went back for the VW fixture on Saturday and it took an extended period to get a coffee (certainly longer than it should).
