Well let’s get on with it shall we?

We welcome two new joiners, Pat O’C and his Connemara Urchins, and The Desperado with his Lump Job FC.  Pat wanted to be called “Pat O’Conner”, but as nobody has ever used their full name before clearly this was unacceptable to the management.  Not that we’ve told him, communication never being our strength.  The Desperado flirted with some frankly unacceptable team names, but I believe “Lump Job” refers to a betting term.  At least I hope so.

Welcome both – and you’ve been blessed with basically guaranteed wins against <<Redacted>>  and <<Redacted>> respectively – lose these and it’s going to be a long hard season.   Note that there’s a problem with registering on the forum at present so both Pat and Desperado will predict through the secret portal (i.e they will text me).

We also say farewell to Digger The Cat who, after a glittering early career, has retired to focus on more important things in life.  Nope, me neither!  Farewell Digger, it's been emotional – and see you at Salisbury.

For the rest of you, Urchin Queen’s defence (there’s a chess joke in there somewhere) starts with a tricky match against <<Redacted>>, but the tie of the round is the <<Redacted>> derby down in Div 2 which could be an early indicator of where the Wooden Spoon is headed.

It will be the normal 14 week season, then 2 weeks of play-offs to finish before Christmas – with the Spring season starting in mid January when we’ve all sobered up.

No rule changes that I can think of, but give me time.  Full rules will be posted once someone has replied to this post.

Week 1 – Please predict by midnight Friday 29th August.  Head-to-head matches out on Saturday morning when you can all chortle (or not) over the redaction reveals.
