Enfield FC v Enfield Town - FA Cup 2nd Round Qualifying

ETFC2001

Recommended Posts

A short trip to the 3g pitch at Hertford then!

Looking at some of the other sides we could've drawn, you've got to be grateful to be facing a side from a lower tier on a decent pitch. Will be a decent crowd too.

Interesting to note there's some decent experience in the Enfield FC squad with the likes of George Sykes and Freddy Moncur. No doubt we will have to be on our game to progress.

Hertford have a very old basic stadium (It's seen better days ) I doubt it's changed much since Ambers last went there about 6/7 years ago . The original  wooden  clubhouse burned down 35 + years ago . What's there now is about a quarter of the size. Parking is very limited so I would advise you jump on the train at Southbury road. Not sure how they'll manage 700 to 800 people with beer sales / catering etc.

Are gate receipts split at all in the qualifying stages? I know its 50/50 between 3rd to 6th rounds proper.

221.1. save for the Competition Matches referred to in Rule 221.2, a Semi-Final or the Final, Net Gate Receipts shall be divided equally between the competing Clubs

Ladies and Gentlemen  ,

You will be warmly welcomed and its always a pleasure to see old friends again  .

Just a few things to mention ,  When getting drinks etc at the clubhouse Please be patient I'm sure Claire the girls behind the bar will serve you as fast as they can. We also hope to have an outside bar available on the day  .  There is a snack wagon for tea, chips ,hotdogs etc

As somebody has mentioned above  you are advised to come by train , Hertford East station is approximately a 20 minute walk away for a reasonably  fit person . However there is street parking in West Street and the adjoining Horns Road if you need to travel by car.

Upon arrival It would help Alan or Nigel on the turnstile If you have the correct entrance fee in cash  , This will get you in faster . There should  be a young lady there with a card reader but this can take a time to work as the Wi-Fi can be unpredictable at times so cash is preferable  .  Programmes are available for £3 at the turnstile .

Very Important !!!  Upon arrival Please allow yourselves plenty of time to get into the stadium ,please get here early  , We don't want to see queues of fans  outside at five to three and coming in at quarter + past. We want everybody to enjoy the day with us .

There is a pub in  west street called the Black Horse less than 10 mins walk away  . A 50 - 50 young lady is also roaming around if you fancy a flutter .

Please paste this message on your other social media sites !!!         See you Saturday

Kindest regards EFC committee

How much is the entrance fee.  There’s nothing on the EFC 1893 website.  I’m assuming it will be the same prices as for your league matches.

£10 Adult  £5 concessions for League matches    Our FA cup matches to date have been that amount, I would assume It   still is.
