Delaney - Yes, Dagenham United,  CSM London and Fairlop Rovers, Fairlop Rovers will be pushovers on Saturday 25 October at home to Essex Olympian League Premier Division Runwell Sports as they have lost their first five League games conceding 24 goals.

It's strange that Delaney hasn't come out of the woodwork this week isn't it with two of the three First Round ties taking place on Saturday:

I feel like this competition has lost it's spark with the Spartans Midlands Division Two teams not being allowed to compete. However i'm still looking forward to seeing how the Essex Alliance & Middlesex Prem teams do. CSM London, Dagenham United, Fairlop Rovers, Hayes & Hillingdon, Kensington Dragons and Larkspur Rovers, will be interesting, but Catholic United are my favourites to win it this season.

A groundhopper from another Forum was at this First Round tie:

A bus outside the Wanstead flats took me over to Wanstead and then tube to Fairlop for this 1pm ko
Fairlop Oak playing fields next to Fairlop power league, main pitch is railed off all round.
Runwell started much the better and scored after 16mins before their sub who had come on after 10mins
was red-carded after 23mins.
This gave the hosts the impetus and they equalised 3 mins later and after 25mins were 2-1 up.
Controversy after 74mins when a high ball into the keeper was grabbed high up but he dropped it
and it went over the line, he complained vehemently that he had the ball and was fouled but he wasn't.
90mins and went straight to pens with the hosts 2-3 down but with the Runwell player striking the bar
with the 8th kick it was Fairlop who netted the last pen for the win.
There is a cafe bar in situ, there were also another 5 games starting at 2pm on the other grass pitches.
At HT i spotted there was a vets fixture scheduled here for 3pm, but as our game finished at 3.05
there were no signs of anyone else coming out to warm up.

Chipperfield Corinthians defeated Hinton 4-2 last Saturday in their First Round tie with goals from Daniel Griggs, Bobby Lowe and a brace from Jordan Toomey, Rivaldo Dju and Alex Nicolaou netted for Hinton in what was an exciting tie. Chipperfield Corinthians now host Sungate in the Second Round of the competition on Saturday 6 December:

Some brief mention of two of last Saturday's Second Round ties involving Essex Alliance League Club's:

In the Anagrams Records Trophy, the league will have representation in the Quarter-Finals as Waltham Forest Borough held on to net a 4-3 win against old rivals Wakering Sports, as they now head to Hertford Heath in the last eight.
Up in Hertfordshire, it was another clash with Olympian opposition as hosts Bishops Stortford Swifts proved too strong on the day for Senior Division side Fairlop Rovers, 8-3 the final score-line as Swifts headed into the Quarters.
