Presumably they are eligible to play tonight because it's the B&B County Cup?

Well I bloody well hope so or the club has some answering to do!!!

Strong squad of 16 announced which should prove competitive and please no injuries.

I was actually looking for their inclusion as both still suspended for Enfield game so need to keep them sharp and lessen risk of injuries to others.

When a player receives a suspension presumably it applies to first team matches?

So, Desbois & Ojemen playing in this match is confirmation presumably directly from the B&B FA that their County Cup competition is not designated as a first team competition?

Correct.

The FA wording states:

Senior Cups are not treated as a 1st team fixtures and cannot be used to serve suspensions for 1st team matches.

Thought we were in command of the game from virtually the first minute.

On paper a 2nd tier team should have no difficulty in despatching a  struggling tier 4 team, but it isn't that often that that actually happens.

It was even more impressive when you see how many of our youngsters played a role in the game yesterday.

I was pleased to see Aaron White back again.

Was also so very nice to watch Colin's after match interview.

Don't often see a player show such joy and happiness after being chosen in the squad and then coming on to make his debut in the first eleven.

Well done.

Just a shame the tannoy announcer said that his goal had been scored by  Nnaemeka. 

Must be great to hear your name announced over the tannoy as having scored a goal.

The player though that has caught my eye over the past week or so is Kian Berry.

He's a big strong centre forward who totally bullied and dominated his, I guess, same age Maidenhead defenders last week in that FA Youth Cup-tie.

He wasn't shy about knocking into Binfield defenders last night either.

He scored our important second goal last week v Maidenhead with a great leap and powerful header to put us back in front straight after Maidenhead had luckily equalised, and then with a lovely deft touch inside the penalty area created our second goal last night.

He came on for a few minutes in the FA Cup game away at Welling, but hopefully his future performances in the EDS team will warrant further first team playing time. 

An enjoyable game last night  with plenty of positives to take from it.

Yes HR, it was a good game and great for the youngsters to get a run out for the first team.

Also great for Colin to get his first goal and seeing his excitement and enthusiasm in the post match interview.

BTW Colin scored today for the EDS in their 3-1 win over Welling at AP. 

Another player getting lots of plaudits apart from Kian Berry is Pedro Sami who turned out again today for our EDS team.

From what I saw of him last night he looks very promising.

Over 1200 at Penn v Wycombe, as much as I don't like what goes on at Penn sometimes that is some effort in organsing and hosting that.

Might actually go to this one just for the nostalgia. Although it wasn’t exactly happy times spending all those years there, I’ve not been back since plus it’s a good chance to progress and should see a few Rebels attend too.
