Altrincham FA Cup Tickets

Tickets are now on sale.

1 ticket per person.

In advance it's £15 adult £10 concession and £5 for under 16's which must be bought with an adult ticket.

Slight problem is that on line it won't let you buy an adult/concession ticket and an under 16 ticket.

Looks like If you want to bring a family member/s or friend/s each ticket will have to be bought separately if buying on line.

Altrincham have been allocated 600 tickets.

I know it states Altrincham have been given the ‘East’ side but I wonder if they’ll give any portion of the covered terrace at either end?

I’d fully expect them to sell their 600 no problem, they may even request more. That leaves around 2,500 available for home fans which would be great to sell out but I think it’s likely more around the 1,500 figure.

Although I think the official capacity is around 3,000, as far as I'm aware for safety and comfort we normally restrict it to somewhere around the 2,000+ mark.

Altrincham only average home attendances of 1,800-1,900, & I would be surprised if more than 20% travel to away matches….. so I would be very surprised if they sell the full 600.

I agree with you on the likely attendance being 1,500 though…. up a few hundred on the Enfield attendance.

It’s a massive cup match and every club would take alot more than usual for this game. 600 is around 30% for them, with the equivalent seeing us take around 250 if it was away which I think is about right. The 1,500 figure was for just home support which I’d be disappointed if we couldn’t attract.

Anybody had the same problem I've had ?

Attempted to purchase a ticket online for the  Altrincham match at 8pm this evening.

After pressing the 'pay now' button on the screen, the page turned to one that said my payment had been authorised and that I should receive an email confirmation, and that if I don't to contact the ticket issuing people.

Usually I get the email containing the ticket QR code almost immediately.

Nothing has been received.

Just checked again at midnight.

Still nothing, but the £15 has been processed through my card account.

Great.

Hope that when I check again tomorrow morning this email containing my ticket will have appeared, but I don't feel very optimistic at the moment.

HR I did mine same time as you as i had just emailed RR prior…No problem with payment recieved email with QR code.

Have you looked in the wallet on Fan Base website where you ordered the ticket it should show up in their with QR code.

Kev: worked for me also, i received the email and was able to print out the QR code from the email. Good luck with the issue.

Glad the procedure went well for you.

It always has done for me previously, just not this time.

I wasn't expecting anyone else really to have had a problem.

These online payment things are great when they work, but can be a bit of a pain when they don't.

I'm sure it isn't an insurmountable problem, just  going  to be an unnecessary pain to get it sorted.

I've already contacted 'Fanbase' to tell them what's happened.

Blimey, that was quick!

I only sent my email off to 'Fanbase' 30 minutes ago and already have had a reply.

They say that they have had an issue with my transaction, their tech team are aware of it, and that my problem will be sorted on Monday.

 I take it you are assuming RR that I've paid £10 for a 65+ concessionary ticket and £5 for a parking ticket ?

I haven't yet joined the ranks of the official 65+ Old Gits club.

I still have 2 months and a few weeks to go  to join that select band.

I may look old and decrepit, but I've just had a hard life. 😄

I agree. I'd be amazed if the attendance was more than 1,500/1,600. We typically only get 700 to 800 at home (excluding away fans), and may be able to attract another couple of hundred due to it being an important cup tie. Add on 500 Alty fans (I can't see them selling their full allocation, personally).

What was the attendance when we played Maidenhead last year? 1,600? And that was on the doorstep for away fans.

Good point  for many years wev e been 15th/16th in home attendance  We are currently 22nd with the 23rd team very close to us !

Kev, have you checked the Fanbase App? I know the smart phone issue (!), but you should be able to view your ticket in the FB Wallet via your PC.

I think you're suggesting something that Steve D. mentioned earlier ?

No, there is no Altrincham ticket in my "wallet".

My STFC season ticket and season long match programme subscription are in there though.

As I reported yesterday, Fanbase seem to have everything under control, so I'm quite chilled at the moment feeling very confident that this issue will  soon be resolved.

I thought the point being made was that Altrincham are in poor form (1 point from their last six league matches), & their fans might not travel in numbers for the cup match…. it would be interesting to hear how they are doing with their 600 ticket allocation.
