Stadium Visit

Hi everyone,

I am going to the match Saturday and I like to make little videos on the history of the stadium and a bit of the club. Interested in any cool stories or interesting facts about the stadium or club I can include. Also, if there are any things nearby that I can record whilst I'm there that would be relevant would be interested to know!

The nearest local attraction to the ground is probably the Upminster Windmill, which also features on the Hornchurch FC Supporters Association badge: Upminster Windmill

A little further away is the RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre which commemorates the role of RFC Suttons Farm in World War 1 and RAF Hornchurch in World War 2, in particular during the Battle of Britain where it was one of the key Sector airfields: Hornchurch Aerodrome Historical Trust

The ground is in the Ingrebourne Valley and the Essex Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre is a half hour walk away through the Country Park and also features the RAF Hornchurch history as much of the reserve is on the former site of the airfield: Ingrebourne Nature Discovery Centre | Essex Wildlife Trust
