True, but priority for them is surely promotion,  whilst for us it's survival in our division.

It's a bit of a catch 22 for clubs with small squads and small budgets.

They all want a cup run for the money and the glory that goes with it.

It can also give them fixture pile ups and injuries problems which in turn could affect them if they're involved in promotion and relegation battles.

Every year at this time of the season, when our first opponents in the FA Trophy are announced, I'm hoping that this will be the year we get to the Final at Wembley. 
Got so close in 1977 and 1998.
Both times our dreams of getting through to the Final were greatly diminished after the first leg of the semi, but in both second legs there were times when we thought we might just pull it off.
But we didn't.
Spennymoor Town got to the Final last season.
Hornchurch won it in 2021, and Concord Rangers of all people got to the Final the year before.
Memories for those teams and supporters to last a lifetime. 
Please God let me see Slough Town play again at Wembley before I die.
It's not much to ask, is it ?
P.S.  Getting to the 3rd Round Proper of the FA Cup would be nice too.

They lost at home to Chippenham 2-1 in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

If we win against Altrincham on Saturday a win against Gloucester as well would start potentially causing a significant backlog, so I would be surprised if much priority would be put on the FA Trophy if we progress in the FA Cup.

It would obviously be the dream but unless our situation on the pitch improves, which I hope it will in the coming weeks, I really cannot see how it could happen.

With our 1st 11 on the pitch fully fit and firing we'd always have a squeak but who can seriously see that happening.

Home town v home town for me, but despite living in rugby land for 20+ years now, there’s no doubt in my mind it’ll always be Rebels first! 
GC are so low down the pecking order in the conscience of most Gloucester folk, the lads in my social circles will be more bothered by me watching “that round ball game” rather than supporting STFC over the city I now live in.

He's a big lad and certainly had something about him.

He is a decent footballer now RR. I'd say Step 3/4 is probably his level but he played well and always looked a threat last season when we saw him. Been out since the summer due to outside football circumstances and has just re-signed with Uxbridge this week and has clearly fitted straight back in well.
