"F i X"  I hear you cry. 

Yes – the seemingly impossible has happened and my six wins in a row have seen me deservedly overhaul Mr D to sneak the title on goals scored.  My first championship since 2015 – so there’s hope for you all.  Well done me I guess – though you could perhaps suggest it’s more a case of Dave having blown it.   Either way it couldn’t have happened without Old Urchin winning – so thank you very much Old’un.

Aside from the mass rejoicing at my fantastic victory, the rest of Division 1 was simply moving the chairs about on the Titanic.  Though Urchin Queen did beat Blackballed 2-1 which made me laugh.  (Sorry Dave!)

But it was all up for grabs in Div 2.

At the start of play the final play-off place could have gone any of four ways – but Diamond Geezer’s point in an astonishing 11-11 draw with MikeMike was enough to push him over the line. Hard luck to Mick The Bat who just misses out on Goals Scored.   Paul C’s surprisingly comfortable win over CuppaTea (yes, it’s being investigated) secured Paul the final auto promotion slot. Well done Paul (apparently no collusion has been found).

Anyway, that means the following are in the play-offs and you will all need to predict next week.  The rest of us can put our feet up until the New Year, or in my case, get the Pledge out and polish that trophy.
