So this time last season after playing 20 games we had 14 points and sat 22nd in the table.

We currently find ourselves after 20 games with 19 points sitting 19th in the table.

So only 5 extra points on this time last season.

Welling were sat in 18th place with 21 points at this stage last year - and we know how the wheels came off for them.

While its nice to have the 'extra 5 points' on this time last year, it looks like we're going to be reliant on a run of good results to keep us from another nerve-wracking finale. I don't know about you, but I'd much prefer a boring mid-table finish!

Looking at the goals tally this and last season paints a better picture:

20 games For: 21 Against: 45 (-24)

20 games For: 23 Against 30 (-7)

Scored more and conceded way less. The fact that we've come back from being behind a couple of times recently shows that we're a team full of confidence and spirit. That was missing at this stage of the season last year.
