H&R were fitter, faster and bullied our boys from the off...not helped by some very inconsistent refereeing.

If only we'd played in the first half as we played in the second.

A hard fought point, or two lost?

Disappointed at the point, but impressed at the decent attacking performance. As soon as Bullas moved into the middle and in the second half we seemed to be doubling up on the wings.

Adventurous, and created a decent number of chances but not enough against their strong defenders.

Lets be clear. We were lucky to come away with a point - and we desperately needed 3.

Hampton could - and should - have been 2 up at the break. They were organised and offered more in attack than us. Our midfield was second to the ball and the long ball game was meat and drink for the experienced Hampton defence. Why oh why oh why have we decided to hopefully lump the ball forward? We are so much better when we get it down and pass it down the flanks. Andrews and Reynolds aren't going to win those headers. Plus, its just a terrible watch for the fans!

Things started to look more promising when Bullas was moved into a central role and the ball was spread to Billy, Ollie and Nino. Eli adds some pace and fearlessness up front. On another day we could've nicked the points, but we didn't, so you have to say the tactics didn't pay off.

Paul Appiah is improving (given his lack of football) and we have him and Joe Wright to thank for scuppering some very good chances for Hampton at the end.

Don't panic, the D, D, W, W, L (0-8) sequence is very much still happening - two wins on the bounce incoming 😀
