I cant believe just how badly Gateshead have been performing Between Bonfire Night and St Valen tines Day they lost 16 consecutive games!!

Gateshead are a club that had a great side 2 years ago and looked likely to step into the EFL. They had a problem with the lease on the athletics stadium they play at, about which they were not permitted to feature in the NL play offs. They did make the Trophy final 2 years in a row and by way of compensation for not entering the play offs, won it in 2024 beating Solihull Moors.

So a club with a great tradition, but struggling now to maintain their current status and without a decent ground to call their own. I believe they now have a 10 year lease on the stadium. It's a familiar story and whoever is bank rolling the club must be exasperated at the situation.

Because of their demise and possible relegation I wouldn't mind betting they've lost whoever's been bank rolling them.

Either that or the money man has cut the funding.

I doubt it's anywhere near £1,500 a week.

Probably nearer to £500/700.

Thinking about it with only about 6 weeks of the season left and to get him on board for the run in it makes sense to be closer to the top end figure.

I think you’ll be surprised what players earn at full time clubs RR, even in our division, it will have nothing to do with 6 weeks left of the season. Jason Prior was earning £1800 a week at Havant 4/5 years ago!

Remarkable what Gateshead are achieving drew 1-1 with Southend tonight to become one of 3 teams on 33 points 36 points is out of the relegation places!!

Not strictly true, Adam has played the last 4 for Gateshead (2 wins & 2 draws), but the revival has been going for 8 matches (4 wins 3 draws 1 loss), prior to that was their dreadful run of losses.

Adam kept another clean sheet today as Gateshead revival continues  looked a cert for relegation a few weeks back now 8 points clear of the relegation  group

All 4 relegated clubs confirmed today Adam kept another clean sheet and Gatehead several places in the safety zone.

He’s played 11 won 7 drawn 3 lost 1, kept 5 clean sheets & only conceded 8 goals.

He's done well and seems to be the catalyst for them to stay up but I still don't like the way he left the club.

I know he left quickly but seriously it’ll take 5 minutes or less to record a quick thank you. Sort of leaves a sour taste and makes us feel like a proper stepping stone (which I guess we are).
