H/T score?

Now I'm not saying that Ackason isn't going to have an impressive career in football, but how on earth do we find ourselves in a situation where we're reliant on a 17yo making his first start in the league to lead the line? A 'must not lose' game and we were pretty toothless.

If we weren't toast before today then we certainly are now!

Chippenham let in 65 goals before today.

Only Farnborough and Eastbourne have let in more.    Think today was only the 4th or 5th time theyve kept a clean sheet all season.

Over the past month they've beaten Torquay, Maidstone and Maidenhead at home. The scoreline each time being 1-0. They're very tough to beat at home. In fact, they've now not conceded at home in over 400 minutes! Thats the kind of form you need to survive...

Unless you are Chesham United 👀 we went there and took an easy 4-0 lead into HT at Hardenhuish Park

Having dropped the experienced forward pairing of Reynolds and Andrews, Gavin proceeds to criticise the front line (no doubt including Ollie and Billy too) for the poor delivery and toothlessness in attack in a must-win game! Gavin, did you really expect a 17-year-old and a 35-year-old to tear a well-drilled Chippenham defence to shreds? Surely the blame for this defeat has to be placed squarely at the door of the manager.

Will be interesting to see whether we're looking for a new manager as well as a new squad for the start of next season. My concern is that Gavin will have just as much trouble assembling a competitive side at Step 3 now that his Met Police players have moved on, he's not going to be inheriting a Wyllie, and the quality of Step 3 seems to have increased.

We've failed to score in more than 10 games this year......and whilst we've struggled to keep clean sheets you can be sure you won't win many games if you can't put the ball in the net.

People can say it's this game or that game....just recently that we've struggled against those around us but we've struggled to find the net all season.

Next few games certainly won't be any easier either.   We were told that the hard work was starting as soon as we were safe last season.      If it comes down to money then fair enough but losing more than half our games speaks volumes about where we are and the league table doesn't lie.
