London Colney P Eaton Socon

An unacceptable eleventh, sorry, twelfth hour postponement at Cotlandswick on Tuesday evening, fifteen minutes before kick off. See some comments from another Forum:

Trip to London Colney with my Eaton Socon side tonight, game called off 15 mins before kick off because the pitch hadn’t been marked out.

Surely the referee and/or his assistants - and several other people - were at the ground well before 15 minutes to kick-off time. I suspect it took them until that time to establish no one had access to a line-marker. Does anyone know if London Colney own their own ground, and are therefore responsible for marking the lines out, or do they 'hire' the ground, and rely on a third party to mark the lines out for them. One or two unanswered questions I'd say.

Will Eaton Socon be given the points for this? Can't imagine there's much precedent for this.

As anticipated, Eaton Socon have been awarded the points following the unacceptable postponement of their Division One fixture at London Colney on Tuesday 10 March:

Eaton Socon have now been awarded a walkover for this, an outcome that confirms London Colney in the bottom two.
