Relegations NL NLN NLS

Final prediction league  says we will lose Chippenham Bath Enfield and Eastbourne also says we will gain 5 more points from 2 draws and a win against Torquay  !  Dorking to be Champions Maidenhead to finish 10th although only 2 points off play off group thats how tight its become!

Probably shows how ridiculous these predictions are.

Saying those 4 will go down is pretty obvious stuff.

Obviously we'll beat Torquay 😏 after yesterday's defeat the pack are closing in on Dorking so not sure now about them winning the league.

Yes total nonsense for months then in the last few weeks as the season winds down becomes more and more accurate until at the death they always claim how accurate things are.

It's interesting to see that with 2 games remaining, all four relegation places in both the National League Premier and the South have been mathematically decided.

There's 2 still in play in the North, and it could be these 2 are Hereford and King's Lynn. It's not the most likely eventuality, but should this happen, and Kettering Town don't go up from the Southern League Premier Central (they occupy the last play-off spot at the moment), then out the top 5 from our promotion season 2017/18, we'll be the only team still at Step 2 (or higher) next season, which (as somebody on another thread said) would be utterly remarkable.

Weymouth (the other top 5 side from that year) may yet end up with successive relegations and be at Step 4 next season.

Well they definitely got the first bit right.

Weymouth suffer successive relegations after a final-day defeat to Berkhamsted who secure the last play-off spot. Surely they, along with Gloucester (but not Farnham Town or Pool Town) will go into the North should they win them.

Kettering Town secure 4th position and a place in play-offs.

Unfortunately, Maidenhead sneak into the NLS play-offs on goal difference.

Hereford and Kings Lynn survive in the NLN on goal difference from Curzon Ashton, all on 52 points. Which goes to show that 50 points doesn't always guarantee safety (Alfreton Town also relegated with 50 points)! To put this into perspective, we started today on 51 points.

Considering the panic on this forum about relegation this season, to finish on 54 points (11 points above the final relegation spot) & in 16th position (which could be argued to be mid-table), will look comfortable in the record books.
