v Torquay

Thought I'd start this one early.

Weather looks to be decent and Torquay have everything to play for.

Scott mentioned Torquay have sold 4/500 already so I'll be disappointed if we don't get another bumper crowd of 1,500+.

Not sure we’d attract 1,000 home support for this? No doubt Torquay will sell out their 600 allocation but on this occasion I’d offer them more to make the club more money.

I think you've got to take into account that Torquay are still a big draw and will interest the non regular/casual supporters.

Again some good marketing will hopefully bring the punters in and i think 1,500 should be well achievable.

So whats the chances of upsetting the odds tomorrow?

The bookies think it's a one horse race with Torquay at best 4/7 on.

It's unfortunate that we're playing Torquay at a time when we're decimated through injuries and suspensions.

Depleted in defense, midfield and in attack.

Under normal circumstances and being at home I think we could get a result but even with the rose tinted specs on it's difficult to see this happening.

A glimmer of hope! Torquays record last 12 games  W5D2L5 All 5 losses have been away games and 4of the 5 wins home games  Our team tomorrow should all read the badge on the shirt and go out and deliver their very best!

Just looking at our home record.

Our last home win was 15 games ago on the 10th February.

Torquay reporting 600+ tickets sold.

A crowd of 1,400+ should take us up one place to 19th in the attendance table.

I was surprised to see we are marginally ahead of Chesham at present (790 v 779) despite them challenging for the play-offs & us in the bottom third most of the season.

At the last census  Chesham population 23000+ Slough 167000+ !!

Difficult to describe that first half other than a defensive shambles.

It could so easily have been a lot worse with Torquay hitting the bar a few times and missing a one on one chance, 4-0 at half time was a real let off.

More respectable second half keeping the scoreline down and getting a decent consolation goal from Celestine-Charles.
