Loads of talk on the Aldershot forum about whether the fans would want Scott as their new manager.

The vast majority are against it due to him going from a struggling NLS side to a struggling NL side. 

As they see it the only possible reason for the appointment would be for them to survive in the NL on a low budget.

The worrying bit is that the longer this rumour goes on without Scott quashing it the more likely it will happen.

Stumbling block for  Aldershot could be buying Scott’s contract which expires end of next season.For a club heavily in debt, that would be big gamble.

If every player/manager rebutted every rumour they wouldn’t have a life. I heard a rumour from someone very high ar Chelsea they are interested in Scotty, let’s go with that one.

Scott said after the Torquay game he hadn't turned his phone on for 3 days. 

Maybe his phone has been off since Enfield and he has no idea about it all LOL

I think this says more about the state of club, playing wise, and the fact we can’t back a young and ambitious manager who has a connection with the fans and understands the club completely. It’s a bloody joke to be honest!

I have it from a solid source that Aldershot have put in a formal approach to the club for Scott.

Can anyone blame Scott if he leaves? To be honest not many managers get an opportunity to move up a level and who knows if he’d get another shot (pun intended). It would be a big loss and you’d also have to question the board and ask if they did enough to keep him?

I don’t blame him at all if he goes and in my opinion he’s been hung out to dry by the club, it’s a massive risk letting him go and one that will backfire spectacularly next season but the club will only have themselves to blame for not backing him enough financially.
