If, as was reported at the time, Adam Desbois was only on a very short term contract, I could see Scott going after him as well, if they didn’t fallout over him heading to Gateshead on short notice.

Absolutely gutted, but not at all surprised he’s left us for Aldershot. A nice interview by Ade on our website too  and feels like it’s been handled well, just hope we got some decent compensation and that Scott has a great time there.

We need to crack on and appoint a new manager asap so that we don’t miss the boat retaining and rebuilding the team. Interestingly Scott said that he can’t take Yella with him, so might he be our next manager?

Definitely expect a few familiar faces to head over to the Shots, in my opinion.

Dyce & Oshilaja probably good enough for National League level now.

Gidaree & Myers good prospects but possibly not played enough minutes this season to get a step up…. the Club should offer them contracts, because I can see National South clubs with better finances than us chasing them.

Going by Scott's interview with Aldershot he'll be taking some staff with him, but not Yella, and he's already got some really speedy wingers lined up which could well be Harvey and Jared.

Yeah maybe I read it that way, just feels like there’s a lot of that kind of tone on here sometimes, which is probably why it can be a bit off-putting for new posters. Wasn’t meant to turn it into anything. 👍

So much for the new man already in the building! Club are advertising the role (albeit only for 2 days!). I’m confident we’ll attract some decent names and really hope the board push the boat out a little in terms of budget.

Agreed. I take a very dim view of posts which target hard working club volunteers. It is very rare that moderation tools are used, but this overstepped the mark.

You could well be right.

It could as usual boil down to what money is on offer from Sutton and Aldershot.

I'm glad it's only a couple of days notice because the new manager needs to be in place asap.

We should get plenty of applicants, the quality could all depend on how attractive the salary is.

What’s become clearer and clearer in recent years, players don’t sign for the club, they sign for the manager.

Ogbonna has done well & been in Sutton’s squad all season, & started about half the matches.

I would have thought they would have put him on a two year contract or at least an option on a second year & want to keep him.

If so, are Aldershot likely to pay a fee for him? It could be helpful, I think there’s a sell on clause on him.
